Yeah once upon a time they were generic, in a good sense. But then some idiot came up with the bright idea that they had to add some gimmick to stand out. It became an obligation that a game had to have a gimmick in order to sell. Now the market is bloated with that kinds of games and it isn't a competition of quality anymore. Ironically, if anyone dares to make a true generic game right now, it would stand out among the rest.

Isn't D.C. kinda old? Can you read Japanese? If you can you might have more options.

I need to chase away he boredom so even old ones are fine I guess...

I'm done with Fate Stuff some time ago, not really my cup of tea..

WUT?! Fate is a masterpiece - not a "stuff". It's one the epicst-dark VN the world! Though, I can't you blame for it: because everyone has his/her own taste. You're more likely with lighthearted VNs, right?

I like the Fate Series but the VN is just not that good for me. The Story of FGO on the other hand is quite good for a mobile game.
Oh... and the PS4 game too.

Hmm... Well, the original is complex - but awesome. Hmm, and well, FGO is a crossover project: where like almost every TM-works involved are (from Kara no Kyoukai to actual TM-titles), but my only complain is: that this over milked will.

Fate Series is indeed complex, even after reading the material and still continuing to read Apocrypha I feel like knowing next to nothing about the series.
Speaking of TM Works... Tsukihime is the one that I liked most among others...

Though, it's easy to see: because the original Fate consits out of 3 main routes Fate(Saiber's part); UBW(Rin's part); H'sF(Sakura's part) - The begin starts pretty equal, but about in the middle splits up in the mentioned routes...
And Apocrypha is a spin-off: where in an alternative storyline runs as the original: It's more likely a team-match version...
Tsukihime... Well, till now I didn't hear new about the re-make...
