Staring at the screen, yes, but exercising before bed being bad for you is actually a misconception by a lot of people. Exercising does cause your heart rate and temperature to elevate due to the adrenalin and cause you to feel awake, however doing no more than 2 hours before bed makes you sleep much better. It also depends on the amount and how moderate your exercise is. I usually spend about an hour exercising before I go to sleep, but it's recommended to do around 30 minutes if you plan to exercise before bed.
