I dont know what the original jap text says, but the engl translation says "medaka never returned". must be some kind of prank, since it doesnt really make any sense. hope anshin'in pulled some strings and there is some sensible solution.

I don't know whether it is a prank or not, but Anshin'in-san must save the day >.< One thing though, doesn't this sounds like the of Medaka Box? Since They're going to graduate...

I don't know, Graduation Ceremony at the last page, they did mention it will be another 2 years before they graduate, but "She never returned" could imply 2 years have passed. Also Kumagawa did mention something about graduation buttons before saying farewell to Medaka. I don't know, too much hints to follow, such a diverse path the author can take.
