i think almost anyone who can't read the original version of a VN can be considered a newbie. i have 50 translated VN's on my computer right now, but i've only finished maybe 10

Well that is a possiblity VNs to understand, and the another way would it, if you from the already translated VNs the statements learn would....~>

one thing i'm not looking forward to with the VN Reader is the grammar. the translator just puts the language in english, it doesn't move the words to where they're supposed to go

there is a program that translates it for you, but like i said, the grammar is horrible most of the time

Well, such softwares are mostly not really correct with the translation, where I you recommend would, out books at least the basic grammar to learn, Infa-kun...~>

But I dislike bad grammar so I don't think I'll be using it xD
Flyable Hearts was Machine Translated too and the grammar was so horrible I couldn't play it >_>

yeah i hate bad grammar too. and the thing is shi, grammar is something that's almost impossible to learn after a certain age. i can understand it fine, but it takes a little while, and bad grammar is something that i can't really deal with when reading through a book, or VN

now when you said you learned how to read/write Basic Japanese at age 20, do you mean you learned it all in under a year, or that's when you started/finished?

grammar is something really hard to learn though. other languages are hard to learn, grammar is even harder
