I would argue that Celsius is just all around superior in every way. I think it is pretty sad that the US (and a couple of others) tries to stick with the obviously inferior Imperial system, but I guess if you can somehow manage to like it, then feel free to enjoy it. XD
I don't see how that is possible, however.

Since I am close to the border and Canada didn't switch that long ago, I am still cursed by people measuring their height in feet and weight in pounds. TT_TT I'm trying to slowly teach myself to start with metric and then convert to imperial for other people (or just force-feed them metric), but it takes some effort. OTL

That is a human thing, not a US thing. But for one of the leading countries in Science, it is funny that you still teach kids to measure things with miles/yards/feet/inches.

Just TRY to explain how that system works and still sound smart by the end, it simply can't be done!

Temperature isn't as bad, but it doesn't really provide good reference points, which makes it much harder to use other than by instinct (after you have heard it for a long time).

No but to be serious, I always try to get through it myself. Only after trying too many times I look up for some info.
