I think shadows like that can represent things more then just arbitrary and imaginary things at times....
Seems like everyone was running too me, like a very big event, or was it just you and the other guy from the house that ran ? Also whatever you needed to run from seems big, and effecting a big part of the world. Like some huge natural catastrophy, just the kind of cataclysmic event I'm actually expecting too see in some not too distant future. And I believe in more than what the eye can see, or the human perception can perceive in the natural.

『Anyway, story has quite few strange points as well... The house itself was unfamiliar. It was a first time I saw it, I don't even remember seeing it in any animes or games... Also, the only light entering the house was from moon and stars, there were no signs of street lights and stuff I saw when I exited. And when I exited the house, I was at the familiar street near where I live. It was still night and only people outside were those in the shop and those who drove their cars on the road but many buildings had lights coming out of the windows and street lights were lighted up as well. And another strange thing, when I exited the house, I don't remember seeing the pool that I was dragged into... Like the street and house were in completely different locations... And I still can't get the "Don't press the button!" part xD』
