Well they still change stuff even if they follow the manga? In hayate no gotoku... they pretty much lost the storyline due to the small changes (which later turned out to be important)... i believe the movie was an attempt to just cover all the changes and redo it... And its sort of difficult to animate everything in a manga as well... so they might be picky there...

Hmm yeah... if they just use the same characters and write another story... its quite nice then too~ Nothing to compare it to but i suppose the original story... Or if they try to do something like prequel or sequel~ That would be more interesting than just... a bad job at what we already read...

Hmm... yeah i didnt really like the changes that FMA did... wasnt very... well the real ending was nicer :/
