Well I just found the laptop of my dreams. It basically has everything I want. Apparently they stopped selling it a while ago and it is out of stock everywhere.

but ended up buying a normal laptop because windows 8 is meh XD

[MENTION=41434]Nazaka[/MENTION]; yeah I wouldn't have minded a laptop, but it seems like in order to get a decent screen they were always screwing me somewhere else, and the only other one I was looking at was almost 6 pounds and would need some re-working when I got it. Hopefully this ultrabook is nice and light with still enough power to do what I want it to (basically just browsing, notes, HD videos, and coding/running code).

Was a bit more expensive than I was planning on but I hardly care at this point anymore, I just wanted the search to end XD

(also I quite like Win8, as you may already know, so it is only a boon to me)

Well my old laptop was messed as hell
if the laptop is connected to the internet, after an hour or two, BSOD
restart, connect to internet again, an hour or two, BSOD

So, how much did you blow?

A little over 1,100 after taxes (our taxes are horrible... was over $130 of just tax).

Well CAD, which is practically the same. My original price point was about $700, but getting something that I don't think is garbage came first. Too bad I couldn't get it on any kind of sale though, seeing as it was obviously over priced now (probably should be around $800-900).

I figure that I worked more than I was planning to during the summer, so I might as well. :P

Oh yeah I saw some of those too, but I didn't want to get one worse than my last one. My last laptop was actually around $1600, but that was a good many years ago (sold it to my sister this year for $100 just to get rid of it/help her out). This one is a good step better than that one, and a whole lot lighter.


Don't worry, I think that ps3s are expensive too. :P
