well, my CPU isn't compatible with the motherboard i'm looking at. might end up going for a different one though. it would at least need a USB 3.0 plug, because i can't even use all of my USB slots :/

I would definitely not buy a mobo that doesn't support USB 3.0. Unless they replaced all USB with thunderbolt or something, but that would be both surprising an bad for compatibility. Mobos are hard because there are so many different feature sets, and then so many different boards for each of those sets. XD

well, i built my current computer a year ago, and it was my first build, so there's that excuse lol. and at the time i didn't need a USB 3.0 support, because my case at the time didn't need them. but i upgraded the case a few months ago and my motherboard is lacking lol i'd also like a couple more SATA ports just in case. you know what? screw it, i want it to have room for 5 video cards

that's probably why he's doing it piece by piece lol. a motherboard usually needs to go hand in hand with the CPU. so for him, that's an expensive buy. my question is, why do you need 2 video cards? they're a pretty expensive piece. amazon says it's $600 each

I could get by with one, she's designed as a high end video streaming and editing machine. I already have one, only spent 300 on it though. That is why I am buying piece by piece.

@madd one thing I've noticed about previous MGs: don't get too hung up making some huge detailed map. People will probably not even look at it much at all (in my case, I spare them a few second glance and never go back :P).
