IDE = integrated development environment, and it is the program that you type code into, that normally has a bunch of nifty features to make it a bit easier (like colouring text for you to make things more obvious).

Turned out it was just the crappy IDE being crappy. Got it working :)

Though I still have to modify some of his code I think, because he tried to almost make it /too/ fancy and now there may be some limitations I need to get around. :P

Dev-C++ is not very good at all, from what I've used it for thus far. I should have just gone for textpad. But then I always think nagware... :/
