True, I guess I view selling point in something that more specifically unique to that product that really make it stand out compared to others, hence why when its been like this for 2 generations, I personally consider it as standard, like how when camera were introduced in phones, then that's a really great selling point, but when there is a camera in every single phone nowadays, the selling point won't be the camera but the quality of the camera itself. Though according to your logic, the camera as a function will always remain as a selling point, which I personally don't see it that way, hence my above explanation

The camera could remain as a selling point, but it would be a very weak one, because all of the competition also has added it to their model. If there was only one or two phone companies that incorporated cameras into their design it would remain a unique selling point to those companies.

T-ELOS; Yeah I was thinking of getting an old ipod classic and putting rockbox on it. But I also don't want to get something that will probably die right away...

3D projector or projector should be better selling point

Yes, which is why I think selling point shifts. And ultimately I don't agree that Sony see their gaming console being Game region free a unique selling point as I assume XBox One would have done the same, so their selling point will probably be on the price tag and functions of what the PS4 can offer in my opinion, not that you can buy games from Japan and play it because you could have done that around 9-10 years ago when the PSP was first release. However if they decided to have region free Blu-ray, then I'll see that as a unique selling point as it is something fresh that will actually be in consideration of why I should choose PS4 > Xbox One because the competitor doesn't offer the same function, if you see where I'm coming from?

XBox One was originally not going to be region free iirc. Like many things, they quickly shifted last minute to match many of Sony's selling points.
I see where you are coming from, I think. You are seeing selling point as being "this is the one greatest reason to buy a product" and I'm seeing selling point as "this is one of many reasons to prefer a product".

BD players becoming region free would be an issue with movie producers, not the makers of players (otherwise they would all be region free).

Forget region free, everything should just be FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

My internet bill isn't free :baby:

I'd rather give 30$ and download a shitload of TV shows, movies, mangas, anime, games and pictures, than pay for all of it.
I calculated that I read about 200000$ worth of manga. I don't wanna pay for that.

What? You've read like 20k volumes of manga? That is impressive. XD

I'm probably somewhere around 500 volumes myself.

$30? Do you have a cap to how much you can download? My internet is is like 5 trillion dollars a month.

Honestly though I "try" not to download anime's that are available for sale in the US, and try to only download anime's, and manga's that are only available in Japan.

10k is still tons, and holy crap if it costs $20 for a volume that is insane! I look for some (crazy awesome) sales where I sometimes pick up like 40+ volumes for around $6 each. =w=

The volumes here are all imported from America, so it costs a shitload.

I get most on my anime these days from crunchyroll and funimation's website.

God damn it tell someone to buy a printer! ><

I DL all my anime these days. I used to do crunchyroll and funimation, but it is just too convenient to be able to watch without a connection.

Crunchyroll is fine and all, but they don't really host that many older animes.
