lol, I knew skaters who were all into them, as well! Eh, stoners, too, but I was never one of those.

Hrrgh, it's kind of a blur! I listened to most of your songs, so it's going to take a bit to find it... But I'll try!

Hey now, you don't know if I'm any good or not! ;) I'm not really happy with most of my recordings (especially the electric ones), which is mostly why I haven't shared them with you, yet.
If I have a decent drum track to go along with, though, I can come up with something. No, I'm not of Yngwie's caliber, lol (fucking twat, that one), but I'd like to think I'm not terrible, at least.
I don't do tapping or anything overly fancy; mostly I just keep things fairly 'ordinary', but with a twist.

That's true, Youtubers have managed to do that, haven't they? Guess anything's possible!

Heh heh, actually, that's how I picture him when he's doing his screaming/growling bits of the songs. You know, "YOU'RE A PINK FUCKING PIG!!! RAAAAWWWRRR!!!"
Know what I mean?
T
The Incubus comes from some of the "softer" moments in a few songs, really. Just here & there, not too much like them.
The hardcore Tool fans can be a bit annoying, heh heh, but I got into them fairly quickly. Just clicked, I guess!
Ahh, Static X. I had an old friend who loved them, though I think Wayne Static died a couple years ago? Pretty sad, wasn't too old.
I've heard of Mushroomhead, but know nothing of their music.
Very well, you do that! I'd make a list, but it's kinda all over the place...

LOL, that is pretty funny, not gonna lie! Speaking of which, I couldn't help but laugh at some of the lyrics. There was one part (can't remember what it was, exactly), but I just started cracking up. The delivery makes it all the more funny, too! lol

I wish I had band times. I think the closest I got was this metal band that REALLY wanted me as a lead guitarist. I declined, because I couldn't stand them, as people. (And I couldn't take them seriously, music-wise)
Bunch of clowns, really. I Don't regret it, either! Heh heh, they didn't amount to much, anyway.
Too bad you're in Sweden & I'm in Cali, otherwise I'd say we could try forming one, right now!
...
Dammit.
:akazukin_rawr: <--- That's your old lead singer, btw, lol!
T
Well, if that's the case, I honestly feel like you contributed the best parts of the songs. Catchy riffs!
That sucks! Where I'm from, although it's a college town, the area itself is a bit of a mess, music wise. Too much country music... Ugh.
This country is brutal when it comes to trends, though I'm sure you know about that. Once Dance & Pop started emerging, rock became an afterthought.
Things really haven't changed much at all, around here. Pretty boring, musically.

lol, "Remember to get some 'fucks' in there, alright, Hasse?" Yeah, trust me, I remember most Nu-Metal being like that. Off the top of my head, your band reminded me a little of Korn; maybe a little Incubus, here and there.
During that period, though, I was more into bands like Tool; still am, actually.
T
Oh wow, this takes me back to the 2000's. There was actually quite a lot of good rock/metal in that decade. Later on when dance started picking up steam, though, rock & metal kinda died off in popularity, and has yet to re-emerge. :/
I'd like to change that, honestly... I actually checked a few songs before I noticed you mentioned songs that you were a part of. Scalpella, Painter, and Insane Side Out are quite nice! There are quite a few, though, so I haven't really been able to browse everything.
Some of the vocals I can't help but shake my head and laugh at, though; mostly, it's the need to slip in "FUCK!!!" or "FUCKIN'!" into the lyrics that gets to me.

What part in the band did you play, btw? Guitar? Keys?
T
Screamo? Oh my. Nu-metal, too? Yup, that sounds like that time period, for sure, ha ha. I love At the Drive-In, but they're Post-Hardcore, more than anything.
Heh heh, very well, you do that!

Nor have I been thinking of a theme for Casjan, either. I'd probably make it something reflective of my favorite styles, more than anything, rather than just automatically thinking of JRPG stuff.
T
Aiee, I'm sorry! The way you put it, I had a hard time believing it was anything other than typical practice aches. So it's obviously something more mysterious?
Guess I'll leave that topic be, then. :/

Ha ha, nice! What kind of music did you guys play?

Something like that, I suppose? Just leave an opening in the mix for some electric and/or acoustic guitar, and I'll see what I can do!
Just to clarify, I use Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 + Guitar Rig 5 for recording. I used to use a mic & amp for recording guitar, but this is far more convenient.
T
lol, fuckin' Trump.

As I tell everyone who asks me to teach them, or they just want to get better, I always repeat the same thing:

- They have to want to learn, and love it enough to practice for at least an hour or so everyday.
- I won't teach them if I feel like they're not 100% dedicated; and I can always tell when they are truly interested, or not.
- If you don't have the patience for it, you'll never get better.

Feeling awkward with the fretting hand if you don't play enough is completely natural. The less you practice, the worse it gets. Playing guitar is all about muscle memory. I've had periods of time (especially recently) where I didn't pick it up and play for a few weeks. But, because I have all that muscle memory in my left hand from logging away hours upon hours of playing time, it comes back to me fairly quickly, and with no stress.
It's such a tired, annoying mantra, but practice... does not make perfect, but it's better than nothing! lol

I have no idea... I'd like to think like some sort of classic JRPG, with each of our lands having their own specific themes. A war theme? Well... Considering our "war", probably something sexy, lol!
Aside from you, the only other person I collaborate with in any capacity is my buddy Bond Travolta at HF.
T
I'll just take your word for it, being just an outsider and all. Sounds rough, though.
Yup, you did tell me about that a while back.

You really should give it another chance, I think your sense of melody is also excellent, and that's incredibly important for making music! Making memorable melodies is not easy.
Ha ha, same here, in regards to Clannad.

Heh heh, some kind of theme for Mustelheim Vs. Casjan, or something else entirely. I think it'd be fun, I never seem to get to collaborate with others.
T
Sweden closed its borders from immigrants? Jeez, and I thought we were behaving badly, over here. Still, we do have a moron that wants to build a wall. (I think you know who I'm talking about)
Not gonna happen! (Or his being elected, might I add)

Well, unless you're ambidextrous, one hand is always going to be stronger than the other. Mostly, I exercise my fretting hand (left).

I was wondering about that, too! That was really impressive, and I know next to nothing about Clannad!
Almost all of my recordings are improvised, "inspired" work, so unless I just totally sucked, lol, I don't do re-takes.

I've been pretty down in the dumps about playing guitar for the last few months, so it was really nice to talk to someone about music and listen to something new.
So yup, I'm feeling pretty inspired, so hopefully I can pick it up and start getting creative, again!
It would be quite something if we created a song, eh?
M
uwu...want moar marshmallows!

We're in a relationship?!OWO
not officially until my birthday passes...~ I couldn't buy them when I'm going out alone :alice_orz:

They might scare the girls they confessed to :alice_sigh: Samy visited korea, did you go there :evillaugh:

Well they are funny even on the first eps~ and when he smiles, he looks so cute

Good work! They must be tasty :alice_love:

I'll stay at your house and the meals are on you :shinonome_sleep:
T
Ahh, so what you're saying is that when they have the Swedish flag/"cross" on something to show their pride? Either way, this whole thing is stupid, lol.

I just looked that up. ProGuitarShop.com is full of shit, they said "our friends from Sweden" or something like that! Think I saw others make that mistake, too. Wow.

Explain and describe can more or less mean the same thing; so, replacing it or not, I still get the same idea of what you meant.
Whatever your explanation is, it still puzzles me; especially after hearing you actually use a Gripmaster (two, might I add).
I don't really need to use it, anymore, but it does help for a quick warm-up to loosen things up if I haven't played in a while.

Yikes! Well, my right ear's canal is a bit more closed than the other, which can lead to various annoying issues, more or less.

Yup, keeping the band together is tough, especially at such a young age; teens, typically, don't usually know what they really want, and aren't as wise as they think they are.
But it should be a word, right? Sure looks like a decent word! I should make a protest to include it in the English language, someday...

I appreciate that! Btw, I really enjoyed your stuff! I think my favorite was BGM-001-MMV. It all reminds me of a great, old-school chip-tune! It's very clear you have an ear for rhythm.
I wanted to actually see if I could insert some guitar into your tracks, but you already filled the roles of a "lead" instrumental sound in your tunes, so it wouldn't have fit in too well.
Btw, is that you playing guitar on "untitled" and I think another track I listened to? It's quite good!

All-in-all, it made me want to create something new! I will say, tbh, that your digital music is much better than what I ever tried to accomplish... :/
I thought imouto was 18... and why do you want those......... :akazukin_wut:

Poor not so nice looking people  I guess thats why there is plastic surgery and make up :alice_sorry:
I guess you watched it for the guy then? :puniko_think:

Umm... sure... sure I did... :alice_hide:

It might cost more to visit me than just japan :alice_dead:

(Pt. 2)
I don't think my right ear is quite as good as my left, either, so you're not alone.
Ooh, nice! I'll check it out, and no worries, I won't be judgmental or anything silly like that. I've messed with the RMXP, but very, very briefly. It's a bit overwhelming!

Nope, but I mentioned who I remember in the previous post. EBS makes bass equipment, right? I don't think I've ever seen EBS amps or anything in person, now that I think about it.
(Sigh) No, never got the chance. I've had ample opportunities, but every time, one of the two things would happen:

1. The other musicians were too lazy and/or would back out of it due to their being lazy and undedicated. (Undedicated isn't a word? How weird... Thanks, dictionary...)
2. The band that I had intended to join would break up, with its former members being... lazy. -_- Musicians can be such flakes!

I've recorded some lesser material, but most of the stuff I'm proud of is acoustic based. I hate using digital drum loops/MIDI software! :raging:
Preferably, though, I play electric stuff. I'll try to put something together for you, sometime!

I was wondering when the sandman would strike!
Talk lata!
T
(Pt. 1)
Nope, not enough for me, at least. -_-
Really? So it'd be like, for instance, me driving my Ford Truck to McDonald's, then going to the beach to catch some waves?
Either way, seems like a stupid reason to be angry about something.

Oops! Forgot the power-ballad Carrie, so I suppose that counts. But... I guarantee most people will only know them for TFC. Most people see them as one-hit-wonders, at any rate.
So strange, that American thing...

Oh, is that all? If that's the case, anyone could feel that way if they play too hard for too long. You have to remember that playing the guitar is not a natural behavior for our hands/fingers; the fretting hand, in particular.
I experienced that feeling if I pushed myself for too long a period, early on. The trick is to take breaks, and also make sure your fretting technique is correct. I also used (and still use) a finger exerciser called a Gripmaster to strengthen my fingers & wrists.
Some guy told me a long time ago that he had a friend that got in a wreck and worried he would never be able to play the same. That guy got recommended the Gripmaster, and eventually, he was able to play again.
...I sound like a damn infomercial, lol! It's true, though, no bullshit! I honestly think you could play again, if you really wanted to. It's tough, but it's possible.
T
Ha! T-Rex is the guitar pedal brand I was trying to remember! I've never used any of their pedals before, though.
I actually use a Mad Professor pedal, but they're based in Finland.
T
Agh, well, next time make your point less confusing! x/
By the way you put it, it almost sounds like they are looking for anything to label being racist, just for the hell of it. "Grrr, I am offended by EVERYTHING!"
That's no way to live! *Edit* - Then again, people have become VERY sensitive over here, too...

Agh, yes, I've heard that (thank you for labeling it so) stupid song, before. But, as with most "one-hit-wonders", rarely do you remember their names.
So Rednex was Swedish??? And singin' about our southern people like they know them? That's racist! lol
Hmm... Looking at that list of bands, it seems your country had quite a few one-hit-wonders, over here! (Rednex, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Europe, The Cardigans)
Yes, The Final Countdown. What else would it be? lol
Indeed, so did I, because they sounded... You know... American?

Really? Wow, that sucks. Maybe it was some form of carpal-tunnel? Either way, it's really weird for that to happen at such a young age.
Digital music can be fun, but yeah, I don't get as much out of it. Plus, messing with all those plugins, filter knobs, etc, is... Ugh. Just give me a damn guitar and an amp.
But yup, I'm kind of a guitar pedal freak, too. I want to say I've used or have at least heard of a pedal making brand from Sweden, but I can't remember their name...
T
I have no idea why that would be racist. Was there anything even racist going on during WWII in Sweden that I don't know about?
Jeez, it almost seems like racism is looked at differently than it is over here... Over here it's taken, very, very seriously. (Pretty sure you know why)
I'm so confused, lol. Loving a race is basically the complete opposite of racism! lol.
*Edit* - Of course, if I said "I love White people!", that could be interpreted as some kind of silly racism, but why the hell would I say that? I guess saying "I love Americans!" would be more accurate.
So yeah, funny is one way to put it.

I've heard of Hammerfall, but never heard their music. In Flames, ahh, I remember them! Mostly from about 10+ years ago, actually. Oh shit, how could I forget the infamous Europe, known for one song in particular...
Eagle-Eye Cherry is Swedish? Wow, didn't know that. I only know of that Save Tonight song, though. Yeah, I remember the flippin' Cardigans. "Love me, love me, say that you love me!" -_- Could be worse.
Roxette! Ha, them I am much more familiar with, due to their big period in the late 80's, I think? Kind disappeared in this country after that, though.
Guess it must have been love, but it's over now... Heh heh heh. Never heard of the other bands you mentioned, though, I don't think.

Yeah, Yngwie's a fat-ass tool!

I play guitar, and have for 15+ years, so it had to be slipped in from time-to-time. It went unnoticed, though! For shame! lol
