  • Happy belated 4th of July man :3

Pretty cool controller it is then :0 Trolling me in CoD.. :deadsad: I'm as good in trolling as in regular play so..COME AT ME BRO! >:3

Beheaded bird >_> Yea, that's probably the best choice.

Also, CLOSE call for the Netherlands yesterday against Costa Rica >_>
    Yep, she's got a nice t-shirt. ;)

Mainly the Lions; not a great sports fan (maybe it's because I'm a Lions fan.)

With PreCure it's a fresh start every time, no holdovers from previous seasons. Any mentors come from within the season. For example, in HeartCatch PreCure, Cure Blossom's grandmother had been Cure Flower 50 years before, so that team had guidance. Usually, their PreCure fairies gave them valuable tips. In Smile PreCure, though, a fairy from another kingdom advised them, because their PreCure fairy was a total airhead.
Lucky you, you got Da Bears! ;)

That's exactly right. Each season has an entirely new cast of characters, writers, directors, artists, music, etc. So each season has it's own unique look, style and flavor.

So Fresh Pretty Cure (season 6) is different from Suite PreCure (season 8) and so on.

There are two exceptions. Season 2 Futari Wa Pretty Cure Max Heart reprised Season 1 Futari Wa Pretty Cure. And Season 5 Yes Pretty Cure 5 GoGo reprised Season 4 Yes Pretty Cure 5.

To be fair, Seasons 2 & 5 can be watched without having seen the preceeding seasons, but you miss a lot of the "in jokes." And you don't need to watch Seasons 2 & 5 to enjoy Seasons 1 & 4.

And there are the PreCure All Stars movies which bring back ALL the Cures for grand adventures.

The underlying premise behind it all, is that when evil threatens the world, Legendary Warriors (Pretty Cure/PreCure) will appear to save us.

Each season has it's charms, and all are worth watching, but it's not surprising that some seasons are better than others. Hence, my suggestions for season viewing. IMO, the four best seasons, in no particular order, are:

    4 Yes Pretty Cure 5
    6 Fresh Pretty Cure
    7 HeartCatch PreCure
    10 DokiDoki PreCure
    Yeah, Michigan boy.

Yep, watched SMC. My main comments are already in the anime thread I started, but yes, I think it is going to be good.
Oh yes, already aired, simulcast, already available in the downloads section, Ongoing Series, and already has a thread in the anime discussion forum. :runhappy:
It depends on your preference, California is a great state for outdoor activities, a few cities with fun nightlife, great wineries etc... However, unlike most other states we lack four season, especially in San Francisco where we have winter (twice), summer and spring. Strange but winter happens during the normal Nov thru Feb, then again June thru July/Aug. Summer happens in Aug/Sept to parts of Nov, and fall really never happens. In addition, it's a very expensive state to live in. First time visitors I would recommend starting in Los Angeles more of the city to see and do, plus better weather.

My family was station in an Air Force Base in Illinois. I remember the winter snow, temperature even experienced slipping down the front door stairs to get to the next door neighbor's apartment. Even though it happened a long time ago, I still remember the pain. :(
It's great that you can see the fireworks from you house...kind of envious. :(

Yes, I live in California...San Francisco, right in the center of the city right where the fog belt hits before dissipating into the rest of the city. It's great when the rest of the state is in a heatwave, but terrible for days like today.
Technically, I live in an ideal location which should allow me to see the fireworks from at least three different cities. However, it's also the summertime which means it's foggy and cold. I've lived here for 12 years, and have seen the fireworks less than five times from where I live. :( I'll be able to hear them, but it's too cold to go anywhere.

How about yourself? Are you going anywhere?
lol, beat me :3 Its worth a shot, I'm not a pro in any way. I'd say above average :0
Oh nice :0 Is it lighter/heavier than the original PS3 controller?

Ahw sad to hear man.. :deadsad:
Well..if he does get weaker over time..then it's probably better for the cat. It shouldn't suffer needlessly. Still sucks man
    Keep strong!
True that. But..you know..everything can happen so I wouldn't be so certain 0.o

Yea I am. But for the PS3 though :3
The Netherlands vs Costa Rica this Saturday.

Hope we don't screw up and don't need t be lucky like versus mexico >_>
    Crunchy Roll list?

If you mean the original Futari Wa Pretty Cure, it's good, but since it was the first season, they hadn't really explored the possibilities in the series, yet. Still, the original duo had a good chemistry between them, and it was cleverly written.

Several (but not all) seasons are available in the Completed Series section.
Yes. Now in it's 11th season, it stays fresh with a simple concept. Instead of following one group for 10 years, every season is self contained. Each season, a new group of girls becomes PreCure. They get their own powers, fight different villains in a different threat to the world. The threat is resolved in the last episodes. Then next season, new girls, new villains, new threat.

That way, you don't have to watch each season to know what's going on. You can pick the seasons you want to watch.

I used to suggest watching HeartCatch Precure first, but I think a fine start would be last season's DokiDoki PreCure.
I'll make a bold prediction. The first episode will be the most watched anime episode in years.
The remake is only going to do the Dark Kingdom arc of the manga, season 1 of the anime. It'll be 26 episodes, one every two weeks.

If it goes good, they may do more.
    continued from last message

A fair bit of nudity, throughout, mostly bath scenes. In fact, in the last episode of the last season (episode 200) Sailor Moon fights the final battle entirely in the nude.

The last (5th) season was never aired in the US. This is because they introduced three Sailor Senshi from another planet who were transgender. They were males in their secret identities, but physically turned into females as Sailor Senshi. The transformation scenes showed this transformation.

And in one season, a little girl (Chibiusa) had a romance with a centuries old unicorn. With kissing.

Oh yes, the English version of Sailor Moon was heavily censored and edited for US sensibilities.

It had to be; the original version is pretty wild for a 90's anime.
The Japanese version was a lot wilder than that. A few examples:

The show had lots of ritual violence. Villains were killed, lots of blood (colored other than red.) In the first and fifth season, the Sailor Senshi were violently killed, including Sailor Moon in season one. Of course, the girls were reincarnated. In season five, two Sailor Senshi murdered two of their comrades, and one committed suicide. The last two episodes of season one were so violent, the English version heavily censored them, turning them into one vanilla flavored episode where no one died. Tuxedo Mask had a crystal spear shoved through his body... twice.

Mysticisn; the English series censored or omitted several episodes dealing with gods and fortune telling. Kinda silly, when one girl was a shrine maiden.

Lesbian and gay themes were abundant. Several characters were openly gay or lesbian, including the two Sailor Senshi you mentioned. In fact, they regularly flirted with the other girls, who often seemed interested.

There was also romances between adult men and underage girls, such as one centuries old villain who had an affair with Usagi's 14 year old friend Naru. And, of course, we have Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. Mamoru (Tuxedo Mask,) a 20 something college student is romancing 14 year old Rei (Sailor Mars) till he falls for 14 year old Usagi (Sailor Moon,) complete with romantic scenes. That aspect was heavily censored and underplayed in the US version.

Looking forward to Sailor Moon 2014!

I have all five seasons, the movies, and the live action series (which is very good.)

Sailor Moon is my Goddess! :lovestruck:
