SEXY TILL NO ENDS.

KEEP IT UP I.G. LOVELY WORK~

ABOVE SENTENCES ARE 100% FROM MY HEART AND THE TRUTH.

This week's Shu is much better, a step up.

orisa - In before Shu pulls out a weapon that can lock on multiple targets and one hit KO while leaving them alive HAHAHA.

Episode 6 was much better than that I had expected. The first half gave us character development for Gai and the 2nd half the action. Even Gai can't always keep his image of being the leader who everyone looks to up.

Even though i disliked the deus ex machina at the end, it's probably relevant for the future episodes who that other girl was who appeared from Inori when Shu pulled out that new void. It's probably too soon for Gai to die yet, but it would have been a chance to kill him off in this episode. Also that character relations chart from a few pages ago seems accurate now, seeing that Shu does look up to Gai after this episode.

I still think Shu's change was a little weird, Inori is still badly written (I still can't believe she was helpless in Episode 1, considering that the bad guys don't know how to shoot worth shit), and the evil guys are about as black as you can get. But otherwise, I liked this episode. This is what I wanted to see about two episodes earlier.

And yes, I think this series has moved towards being campy, but it's still not there yet. I still can't get over some of the huge plotholes and Shu's plot convenience and plot armor that this series keeps on creating for itself.

May be I just need to turn of the brain and enjoy it like a hollywood blockbuster movie.

If you watch episode 6 again, note that when Shu pulls out the Void from Inori, he had the Void of Gravity, and Inori pulled the Void before Shu ever looked her. When Shu pulls out the Void it fuse with the Gravity and hence that badass cannon. Anyway, this episode was good, but I have to wonder, how the hell Gai survived that...

since the episode 6 is what can you say climax... i guess the next episode would comes quite normal.
another fan services type episode maybe

Uh...Shu's mom is the woman who was standing besides the doctor when they saw Shu awaken his powers on the TV in the first episode. Also i remember she appeared one time in the others episode, she was working on a computer at that moment, but i'm not sure . I think it was episode 3 or 4.

By the way where is this preview ? The episodes i watch don't have a preview...

Flags!!!!

as i predicted, the whole stories is pretty normal. seeing Shu's growth is really interesting he's became more like a man now compared with he was before.
seeing Haruka is really hawt! (dammit kou!)
judging from her looks she's about 28... still can't believe she is shuu's mother.
Arisa's interact with Gai, i believe some flag is rising here. while gai and shuu flag is rising high and higher. last one i wonder who's the picture in Haruka's purse she really looks like inori.

The fact that Haruka has a picture of her, Shuu, and Inori's "second persona" together raises many questions by itself...mainly due to the fact that "second persona" girl and Haruka apparently knew each other and sworn to protect Shuu's "future". At this point Shuu obtaining the King's Right Hand can no longer be considered a coincidence. Shuu was meant to bump into Inori and steal the Genom that was meant for Gai, who, of course, is also on the same ground considering he had some kind of deep tie with the girl in the past. There's a possibility that Gai was also in that picture (the kid cutoff in the picture to the left). Strange thing is that Shuu himself doesn't seem to remember any of it, whether be it a simple memory leak or deliberately sealed.

I feel this episode accelerated the plot quite a bit despite mainly being about Arisa. I don't doubt that we'll be seeing a lot more of her from now on that Kuhouin is officially connected and allied with the Undertakers. There's also the "backdoor business" her grandfather talked about that has yet been explained.

Now onto the more light stuff!
Shuu. Can this guy get anymore amazing? In mere 7 episodes this guy went from being a typical scared teenager to a man voicing his will to the Undertakers and ORDERING Gai to give him an order and carrying it out in a stylized manner. It's no wonder Hare is suddenly so compelled by him. I liked him since the first episode but now I just want to see more and more of him.

Gai. He's one of those characters who is masterfully amazing in every aspect from the start, but destined to be a stepping stone for the main protagonist. Then again, maybe this doesn't apply to Gai. I feel that Shuu and Gai are 2 in 1 package, Each are amazing on their own but just doesn't feel complete without one another. And I don't mean this in Yaoi way, they are like real brothers. Who knows, maybe they are. Whatever the case is, I'm glad they aren't sharing same romantic interests, although Gai probably won't have any trouble there considering he has a whole pool of hot ladies to choose from, and import more if he wishes (but he doesn't seem to be particularly interested in anyone right now).

Inori. Not much to talk about this week. She seems to smile a lot more now but I still think she was cruel in the last couple of episodes, and I feel that's been left behind unanswered. It's really unfortunate that the chemistry she and Shuu had few episodes back feels like it was reset, but I reckon their development is still in its early stage.

Haruka. Total MILF. How is it even scientifically possible for a mother who has a 17 year old son to be that hot? Then again, hot MILFs are nothing new in anime, in fact it's the typical moms who are rather irregular in this field...Anywho, it'll be interesting to see what kind of role she will be playing or which side of fence she's going to be in. But one thing I'm sure is Shuu is her main concern, just interested in what actions she will take.

Arisa. Seems like a typical ojousama character to me. I haven't found anything interesting or unique about her so far, but I think she'll be changing radically in the later episodes through Gai and maybe Shuu. Hopefully the series won't lose its focus, but considering the superb job the staff's been doing so far I'm not too worried.

Hare. She's clearly going to be Inori's other side of relationship with Shuu. I like how the staff used her to signify changing Shuu. I like her as she is right now, but characters like her are usually bound to have a radical personality change as the story progresses. I just hope nothing bad.

Lastly, Dan. What the hell is with this guy? He just attempted a genocidal missile attack on a cruiseship without flinching. Looks like the type who stands by code of justice every waking moment but he is COLD. Even Daryl seems like a comedic character with this guy around. I like him. Much more interesting villain than Segai, imo.

I'm loving Guilty Crown, I don't know why it's not more popular.

Been awhile since I wrote here...

7 episodes in, its easily one the best episodes to date for me. Enjoyed it, loving Guilty Crown more and more~
I am glad its not more popular, people who cant appreciate should not be watching this.

Introduction galore this week, with many new characters out~

Haruka's proper introduction to the series, she's the all lovable motherly type of character I expected after seeing the trailer. *threads on thin milf waters* I mean, returning home stripping till your lingeries, while your son 'accidently' gets cozy with another girl whom you are seeing for a first time, she's quite the understanding woman. Definitely fun too, I mean, being that hawt at that age with a son is something, not minding a girl your son brought home and allowing your son to call you by your name, what else can you get? Her true work demeanor will remain a mystery now, as seen on the ship, but she definitely loves her son a lot, and I dare say the same way around too for Shu.

The student council president Arisa was also introduced. While she bears no suspicions about Shu's capture by GHQ and aids him too, her background makes her life difficult. While, not too difficult now, as I suspected too, she's probably fallen so deep for our resident playboy terrorist leader. But service is good~

The bad guys, or should I say now, jokers. Come on, its a natural process to turn antagonist figures in animu into 100% joke figures. We see Segai, Daryl and the other guy (forgot the name), meet DAN, a ridiculously naive commander. Firing missiles is a upwards thing, not horizontal, he definitely grauduated from clown school(no puns intended). Looking at his straight-forward idiotic plan to attack the ship, I will bet he will be the main comedy relief in the bad guys side. Just listen to Daryl's HUH? Segai remains a good watch point for me, I like his type of bad guy who has no clear motives in his actions.

What I am loving in this episode, is Shu's evident development. From a pussy in episode one, he's really go far now. When an osananajimi can notice a change in you, believe it. Hare's got some pretty bad competition in Inori, but I will root for her anyway for being so cute. But thats not changing the fact that Inori is #1 here. People may have disliked him, but he's bitten back.

It's still pretty popular in a trainwreck kind of way ww. I appreciate good writing like Un-Go, but I won't go into guilty crown too deep, it's the type of holywood block buster kind of show so appreciate it as a mindless show.

Hahaha, the latest episode was hysterical. Most hilarious character in the show is possibly Hot Mom Haruka for me. As soon as she came into the apartment and started giving her son a drunken striptease ala Misato I couldn't stop laughing until the scenario switched from Shu's desperate scrambles, her thrusting herself at her son and Inori just starting blankly ahead. This character that we're supposed to believe is a top grade scientist, who we've only ever seen doing sciency stuff so far with a sciency look on her face while also looking maybe 18 tops is a contender for hardest to buy character in the show and that's saying something cause this is the show that counts Gai, Shu, Inori, America Dude, Daryl Yan and Major Clown among it's cast.

We're also reintroduced to Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier who for some reason is in this show. She has Aya Endo doing the exact same voice, kind of looks like Sheryl, kind of acts like Sheryl in that insecure yet incredibly bossy manner....about the only thing she didn't do to confirm that it really was just Sheryl Nome (Yoshino wrote for Macross Frontier too and it kind of showed at times) was start singing while smacking her ass in a military outfit. In any case I guess this episode was about securing Sheryl's families fortunes to assist Funeral Parlor in their rebellion (though I assume this is all but forgotten about by the next episode), although it wasn't really clear to me till the end cause of all the hilarious stuff going on with Hot Mom Haruka, Class President Sheryl and American Dan kind of sapping my focus.

Speaking of American Dan....vintage Yoshino character. I can't remember a show he's done that hasn't had some intensely over the top racist caricature of a foreign racist dude (say that three times fast) that just hates all Japanese and it wouldn't surprise me if the guy really is just incredibly xenophobic and thinks that all foreigners are out to get him and that poor little Japan with all it's young nubile hawties is really just a peace loving nation at heart that just wants to be left alone but WILL fight back with improbability if pushed too far. This show at this junction basically = Teen Japanese Power Fantasy and it's moments like when Shu did his thing this episode and when Gai did his that really serve to drive this home even further. Inori and Cat Ears didn't really get to do their part this time though. Guess there's only so many times Inori can do some improbable John Woo style feat and Tsugumi can use her ass to strategically direct a battle though and considering Inori has flexible characterization and was basically stuck playing the role of silent girlfriend who hangs around somebodies apartment looking doll like again it was pretty clear that just wasn't happening this episode anyway.

As for the show getting better, I think it has, but not story or writing-wise. It's instead gotten funnier (mostly in how stupid it is) and a little more consistent in tone. Continue being campy, this is the right direction.

Best stupid line. "If they can fly up, they can fly sideways!" (Missiles)

When you have a mum this hawt, you ought to wonder why are you so damn lucky.

She looks similar to sumeragi (gundam 00). Anyone?

Agreed to only small extend.
I.G. has been glamorous for her 'introduction'. *still threads dangerously on milf waters*

I don't think Shuu is lucky to have such a hot mom. I mean, if a total hottie who wears nothing but night gown and panties and approaches you with extreme skinship turns out to be your mom and you intend to keep your sanity intact, your libido has to be made of steel to not let it burst.

Anywho, I don't think it's a coincidence that this episode came right after the release of ED/Insert single where the booklet read a certain subtitle (see my sig).

So now we've learned Void can actually shapeshift when there is a change in the host's heart. It would make sense, seeing as how the Void is a visualization of it. This opens up more door to growth in Shuu's power, which is ultimately what Shuu is resolute in doing at the end of this episode. He's realized that he needs to stop being so distant all the time, and that's good because Shuu and Inori were looking more distant than ever.

Speaking of which, Souta is a dangerous man. He could probably NTR girls left and right as his Void suggests, and Inori looked like she might actually have thought about it had Shuu allowed Souta to finish his sentence, although ironically this lead Shuu into re-admitting his feelings for Inori (though not directly). I do wonder if this was on purpose or just a side effect.

An interesting bit that flashed by was Daryl's birthday. It's cheesy but I admit I didn't quite expect Daryl to be the type to cry when his daddy doesn't show up to his birthday. If you recall in his debut episode when he murdered that mother in cold blood and muttered hate towards mothers, what his dad says about Daryl's mom makes sense. I feel Shuu and Haruka are going to get involved in this one way or another. Hopefully nothing bad happens to Haruka, it'd be such a shame to lose a MILF of that magnitude. :(

On the side note, I have to say the best fanservice award this episode, despite the ass shot by Haruka and Inori in bikini form (sorry girls), goes to Hare who was drawn a lot more erotic than usual, no doubt on purpose. Damn yo'.

I've only watched 2 episodes but I really like it so far. I need to catch up on it but eh. I think the story is interesting and the artwork is pretty good. Can't really say much about liking the characters since I don't really know anything about them yet.

Just when I thought Shu got better last episode, he went back again, I guess this inconsistency in personality is his personality.

Shu: Stupid Gai. He doesn't understand my feelings at all.

Can I punch you now Shu? Ikari Shinji 2011 indeed. And let the doujins fly!

Poor Daryl. FOREVER ALONE on his birthday ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \

This continues to be a series that’s drawn exclusively in primary colors, with almost no shading or subtlety to be found. It’s as if a group of very bright ninth-grade boys were given a huge budget and access to the best TV animators in Japan and told to make an anime. They fill it with whatever seems cool at any given moment, inject what passes for big ideas in their limited consciousness, and as a result the flow between episodes is always awkward and jumpy and the transition between serious and comic moments never smooth. Guilty Crown is to sci-fi anime what R-15’s Taketo is to porn. I will echo others that this show doesn't really fit on the noitamina slot which is aimed towards older audience with 'mature' content. Luckily I have Ungo here.

At least, Gai is still all kinds of awesome.
