I see that the project is really set in motion now and I believe things will go smoothly.

Oh yeah, in regards to the music, If anyone is familiar with Higurashi, they used realty free music available in the net but was praised for the outstanding use of the music and it's blending with every scene and (text) dialogue.

ok ummmm a few things~ I may or may not change the irc name, and i still have to figure out the admin stuff x-x
Once that's setup, I'll help everyone get setup for irc to where even if they're not online, they won't miss what happens there. :3
There's also a chat at the bottom of the front page. We'll use that for now til irc is working fine~ :P

*The important stuff should be on the forum. We can talk about it in irc really~ but if someone you need isn't there, you could put it in the forum? Something like that~
Try taking things front the ASF group and add the important notes and all there~

The forum name wasn't originally the VN name. If you really like it and the story does connect with that title, we could use it as the title~ XD it's still a good idea til we have at least some full draft idea of story agreed about~ that way we all know where it's going overall and get a feel for it~ :P

If you need to make any changes to the VN section, everyone in the group should be a mod~ I tried putting similar things together since we have lots more room. I've no idea what the post limit is, it might be about 5k-10k words?
Sooo edit, arrange, do anything you need to~

(Ex: extra characters, what the scenes are, overall message, etc.)

will that be an entire forum specifically for the group? it might help in tracking if there were separate threads for each department like "art", "story", "programming", "music", and later "testing". this will help keep track what is done, being done, and will be done as well as if there were any problems/issues regarding each one.

i agree it would be great to use the IRC channel for very important discussions, while use the chat for brainstorming then publish in IRC what has been discussed so those not present can follow the discussion later.

the forum can be used as more of a database for the VN where most if not all of the files can be viewed (or stored as backup files). Or better yet, to use the forum to represent the official(voted by majority or by compromise) or final information. then from there we can find what updates can be posted here at AS.

you know once you give something a name, the tendency is that you get attached to it, so it's actually great you decided to give a title where there wasn't. A nameless project is doomed to fail. ^____^ you can use the forum name as the project name then have a completely different title for the VN.

Maybe not everyone? but then again... better designate a mod to monitor each division?

there should also be a discussion on what info can be posted on ASF.

ok soo my head exploding today soo bear with me x-x

The irc is not like the forum chat. Once you log off, you won't get anything that happens. There is a way to have a server record everything while you're gone, but i'm still trying to figure that out. Until I have the permissions figured out, we won't use irc.

The irc will just be a tool to brainstorm. The forum chat could work too, but with irc, you can get ppl's attention. sooo anyways~
important stuff will be on the forum. Things like "hey that's a good idea" you'd put that in the forum. Things that are really long, you might also want to use the forum for. (like the story outline and all~)
soo it'll be a mix. We can't have everything on irc because it'll be very unorganized and confusing if there's too many conversations going on.


If you feel like there needs to be split threads, sure~ but I mean, until we actually have something to add to them, we won't need those threads. We could throw ideas out there, but I'd rather let the composer ask for ideas than trying to tell them what to do x-x

umm i don't think i've assigned someone to be a true mod yet? if there's a need to i might. Even if someone is one, i can limit what they can do/see still. (not much different~)
