Hmm already thought of one but im not sure how itll work~ Im writing a story as im creating the characters so it may change the actual story somewhat~ Trying to make it as realistic as possible~

Hmm it wasnt my original intention but if the characters have a sad background then the change can be the greatest... already sort of thinking about how it should change to reflect the themes ushio wants...
 
Hmm well im trying to incorporate her ideas if i can? She can change stuff too if she wants... we have different ideas for how the old guy should be though ;p The old guy is the one that leads to the endings in my ideas but hes sort of just an informer in hers~

Let's say there's only one original route and another in a different perspective, i'm guessing unlocked after 1st clear, but basically I'm seeing only two complete playthroughs. That is assuming bonus content is attainable through normal playthrough.

So let's say for 10 hours of gameplay, there is an average of about 15-30(may be less) story based decisions, assuming there are only four possible endings(good, bad, normal and true) but may be restricted to only two (good & bad) or the boring single ending, and taking into consideration the process of determining the ending [i.e. number of positive decision vs negative decisions where as majority of positive decisions = good ending, majority of negative decisions = bad ending, an indecisive average = normal ending, and a series of correct story-wise decisions = true ending].

Here is an equation that I have devised.

n = 3/4(AX)+(AY)
Where:
n = the number of save slots necessary, rounded to the nearest ideal number
A = average number of choices per decision
X = average number of decisions in one playthrough
Y = number of possible endings
3/4 = playability constant placed

So if there were let's say 15 decisions to be made each having 3 possible answers, and there are 3 possible endings, the number of slots would be 42.75 rounded to the nearest ideal number would be between 40, 42, 45 and 50. :goodtea:

Hmm its too late for math :zombie: Though i suppose that could work~ It doesnt seem like were actually going to make a lot of decisions anyhow~ Might try for a third play through actually? First is to force a bad ending then the second play through is where they actually get to make decisions about stuff and effect the ending (story explains why they need the first failure) then the third will tie up loose ends with an alternate viewpoint which will sort of explain why things have happened~ Then theres the fact that im only really planning for part 1 and ushio wants to make a part 2 where its sort of what happens after the main characters are finally... better xD
 
yeah, 60 is good, but may be too many to manage though. could there be an option to name the saves? never seen one yet.

Don't the save got the name of the place you gonna save......
 
hmm 6 slot per page is neat enough i think. and naming saved game unfortunately isn't supported in ren'py. the maker said that it'll somewhat break ren'py
 
Hmm well the bad ending is just mostly negative... the ending ties into the second play where it will seem like the same at the start but they might notice slight differences and suspect it to be different until something actually pops up as different~
 
i guess, I assume, ren'py only recognized the format we see in those titles. yes 6 is neat enough. hmmm 60... there's enough saves to replay non CG contents. XD
 
Okay... It seem like FFX-2 where the bad ending is tied to the best ending.....

then, there is an arithmetic progression?! for every one ending in the 1st playthrough, there are two more endings for the 2nd?!
 
Hmm the second... i think there would be two endings for the second with the playing of the alternate viewpoint leading to the true ending? might have some negative ending there too i suppose but havent thought of what to do for it... xD Then on to ushio's pt 2~
