Their take on the subs:

“[Setsuna] is so big” and “Please be gentle” were how the lines were when we watched the movie in New York. We remember them very well because the audience started lol’ing at them. They’re not “trolls”.

Subbing the movie segment in comic sans with translation notes and colored subs and literal translations is also not a “troll”, it’s called “being meta”. The fact that a dog appears on the bridge makes it reaaaaally obvious that Sunrise wasn’t taking it seriously either.

Seeing how the only other group that translated the movie is Hadena (Elysium is using gg subs) - no one was actually bothered by the subs.
