Tonight (October 2) is the birthday of Roro Morooka from Ongaku Shoujo. Born in Toshima, Tokyo, Roro is the oldest member of the Music Girls because she is a third year high school student. Roro is also a friend of Kotoko Kintoki (CV. Lynn), who was also born in Tokyo, but came from Katsushika. She is voiced by Nako Eguchi. Happy birthday, Roro! For the month of October, I’ll be posting the new updates of the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament that are going to be intense and thrilling as the Rainbow Angels are ready to face a tougher challenge in trying to make it to the finals. I’m going to make the semifinals match for the girls to be the main one because this is all about the friendship between Tomoka Minato and Michiko Takeda. Everyone knows about their friendship, but mistakes have been made for the two of them when they were in the Shiromidai Elementary School. So, it’s time to kick off the month of October with the first part of the semifinal match between the girls of the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda! Enjoy reading Chapter 142!:)
Tomoka and the girls of the Rainbow Angels are ready to give their pride, courage and willpower once and for all as they’re going to battle against the Kirihara-Team Takeda in the semifinal match of the girls’ tournament of the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. For Tomoka, she had been a game-changer when she played for the Keishin Academy Elementary School girls’ basketball team after staying with the members of the Shiromidai Elementary School girls’ basketball team. Tomoka believes that it’s her destiny to shine herself to play like a dearest braveheart because she was very thoughtful that she wanted to be more confident in her life with her teammates such as Maho, Saki, Airi and Hinata. And for Michiko, she was serious at the start when she joined the Shiromidai Elementary School girls’ basketball team, but she became motivated to show her style of play as she led her team to a district championship against the Kasuragi Elementary School. Tomoka and Michiko made their friendship when they were in Shiromidai, but things didn’t go well when Michiko’s friends have accused Tomoka of being obsessed in basketball most of her elementary school days. This is the reason why Tomoka left Shiromidai to enroll in the Keishin Academy and form her own basketball team in that school. Tomoka wasn’t been satisfied at first when she was bullied by the friends of her childhood friend, but she was able to defend herself to forget the past. Since then, Tomoka renewed her friendship with Michiko after Michiko finally forgave Tomoka for mistakenly accusing her. Now that Tomoka and Michiko have their own paths, they’re ready to do whatever it takes to shine their basketball careers in the level of middle school basketball.
The Rainbow Angels have made it to the semifinals of the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. Their next opponents are the Sounds and Maples (boys) and the Kirihara-Team Takeda (girls). This is their chance to make it to the finals of the tournament if they win their respective matches at the same time.
At the Outdoor Basketball Court #1, the match between the girls of the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda is about to begin with the players from both teams have faced with each other at the center of the court.
The referee Mitsuki Izawa of the Toyohama Thunder officiates the match as she’s about to ask the players of the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda to start the game. “Let’s start the semifinal match of the girls’ tournament of the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament between the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda! Bow!”
The players of the girls of the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda bow together before Mitsuki and then, saying to her. “Let’s have a good game!”
Tomoka and her teammates talks to Michiko for a minute before the game starts.
“So, Michiko, what do you think about the starting line-up for my team?” asked Tomoka.
“Uh, it’s nice that you have a high schooler battling against my batchmate. On the other hand, I already battled you and Mimi before. This is the great place to have this match something intriguing for myself” said Michiko.
“Of course, Michiko-san! It’s been a while that we meet again. I believe that you’re overexcited about this” said Mimi.
“Uh, I guess so” said Michiko.
“With you being part of the Family of Angels, you must be proud to your friends. That’s how girls and boys in the family with awesomeness and cuteness show their appearance for themselves” said Megumi.
“Yeah, it really is true, Megumi. I was surprised that we were getting along together since I joined that group. I can’t wait to make some accomplishments for our group!” said Michiko.
“Yes, we will!” said Megumi.
“But for now, this is our match and I want to tell you that you have good moves when we saw you earlier. I would really want to see your moves in the court when my team will be playing in the court” said Aoi.
“Ah, I really am interested to do that, Aoi! Tomoka won’t be surprised if I will show it to her. That way, she’ll be impressing me the way I did” said Michiko.
“Well, that’s fine with me, Michiko. I will not be going to get easy on you if you try to surprise me” said Tomoka.
“You got it, Tomoka! Let’s make this match a great one to develop our friendship!” said Michiko.
“Okay!” said Tomoka.
At the bench of the girls of the Rainbow Angels, Jun, Nozomi and Kazue are enthusiastic to see their team being ready to battle against Michiko and her team.
“Wow! I can’t be surprised to see Tomoka and Michiko going up for a friendship test! After the troubles that Tomoka left Shiromidai for Keishin, Michiko had finally brought her willpower to be friends with Tomoka again” said Nozomi.
“Yeah, it’s very expecting to say that, Nozomi. Tomoka had been taking care of her friends right before she went on being a basketball player in her school (Keishin Academy). It’s great that Tomoka had been a cheery girl since she never left her smile all the time” said Kazue Ōgaki.
“I agree, Kazue-chan! When Tomoka and her friends usually hang out with each other outside school, they know how to develop their friendship together. It’s great that the Family of Angels have been developed nearly a month and it grows their numbers by expanding their membership through their friendship with the other students who wants to be blessed and inspired to themselves” said Jun.
“I have a feeling that both Tomoka and Michiko will try their best to continue their friendship, even they’re separated from their schools. That way, the two of them will be able to keep their trust with each other” said Nozomi.
“Yeah, Nozomi-chan! I’m sure that both Tomoka and Michiko are out to show their determination to each other when they get along together and I’m expecting to see Michiko doing her best to please Tomoka” said Jun.
“Of course, she will!” said Nozomi while Kazue smiles gleamingly on her face and nods to agree with Jun.
Mitsuki releases the ball high, which allows both Aoi Ogiyama and Aina Kawaguchi to jump together. Aina tips the ball first before giving it to Rie Shiotani, the starting shooting guard of the Kirihara-Team Takeda to take the possession.
Rainbow Angels: Nami Takashirō (PG), Tomoka Minato (SG), Mimi Balguerie (SF), Megumi Kadokawa (PF), Aoi Ogiyama (C)
Kirihara-Team Takeda: Asako Nishikawa (PG), Rie Shiotani (SG), Michiko Takeda (SF), Mariko Matagawa (PF), Aina Kawaguchi (C)
Rie passes the ball to Asako before Asako doing the crossover move on Nami. Asako drives past Nami before passing the ball to Michiko, who would shoot the ball with the finger roll to score for the first two points for her team. [Kirihara-Team Takeda 2, Rainbow Angels 0]
“That girl was very good with that shot, Subaru. She’s seemed to be dazzling with her moves quietly” said Kazunari.
“Yeah, it reminds me of one of my young friends named Nanami Yoshikawa. That brown-haired girl had been performing very well in her young age before she starred out in Magome Elementary School. She had been admiring me after the training when she was able to perform her moves against her opponents in last year’s district tournament” said Subaru.
“Well, that sounds like you have a lot of friends you recalled a few years ago. That project of yours really looked great very well, but I hope that you will re-connect with her and her friends very soon. I don’t know if I remember correctly, she had been part of the Dragons of Ōta or not” said Kazunari.
“Uh, unfortunately, nope, Kazunari. Nanami was a member of the Arrowlarks Magome. I tried to convince her to join the Dragons of Ōta, but she declined to do so because she was very confident to have her own group for herself” said Subaru.
“How old is she now?” asked Kazunari.
“She’s in the same age as Tomoka” said Subaru.
“Oh, that’s great, Subaru. I never know about that, but that girl is surely an amazing player if you tell me” said Kazunari.
“Yeah” said Subaru.
Nami would dribble the ball before passing the ball to Tomoka. Tomoka would do the between the legs move on Rie before driving past with her acceleration drive. Tomoka goes for the spin move on Mariko Matagawa before successfully shooting the ball with the layup. [Kirihara-Team Takeda 2, Rainbow Angels 2]
“Nice shot, Tomoka!” said Mimi as she gives Tomoka a high five.
“Yeah! That will start our run if we’re doing great in the first quarter!” said Tomoka.
“Of course, we can, Tomoka! I’m sure that it’s going to be more contested than I expected” said Mimi.
“I agree, Mimi-chan!” said Tomoka.
The next play was for Michiko’s team as Asako battling against Nami. Asako would go for the step back crossover move before reaching onto Tomoka. Asako battles against Tomoka while Nami battles against Rie.
“Wow! It’s a switch!” said Nozomi.
“That Asako-chan is good in switching places with her teammate when a situation is belonged to either one of them” said Jun.
“Well, it should be fine for Asako to do that unless that switch would be reverted back after one scene” said Kōme.
“Yep. That might be expected to see Michiko’s teammates fueling up with their moves, but once they will move up to the use of special moves, they’re looking to groove easily” said Nozomi.
“I guess they will, Zomi-chan” said Jun.
“Probably, they would have that as soon as possible” said Kōme.
Asako would go for the pump fake on Tomoka before shooting the ball with the layup and the ball drives to the basket. [Kirihara-Team Takeda 4, Rainbow Angels 2]
Nami would battle against Rie with Nami dribbling the ball, trying to take her pressure out. “If she wants to score, then I will go for that too!”
“Really, you’re gonna do that?” asked Rie, who was surprised to see Nami being determined from Asako.
“Yep” said Nami as she powers up to drive past Rie easily before reaching to the paint. Rie would do the pump fake on Asako in a second before successfully shooting the ball with the layup that Asako used earlier. [Kirihara-Team Takeda 4, Rainbow Angels 4]
“Hey! You can’t do that! That was my move!” said Asako.
“Yeah, it’s your move, but I didn’t mean to use it anyway. I will have to make sure that I will score back if you go too far against my teammates even if you’re trying to stop me!” said Nami.
“That’s my, Nami-san!” said Junichi Kamisaka.
“She must be more serious right now after Tomoka” said Dairoku.
“I believe that Nami had a challenge to take on, but I’m sure that she is going to push her way to do her moves of her own” said Masanobu Yamada.
“Yeah, that would be awesome to have her willpower coming up so fast!” said Ryōta Mikawa.
Junichi Kamisaka nods to agree with Ryōta Mikawa while Dairoku and Masanobu Yamada smile on their faces.
The scene changes to Aina Kawaguchi battling against Aoi. Aina posts up against Aoi while dribbling her ball through her strength.
Aoi is thinking about her good thoughts, in stopping Aina in the post. “As I’m close to Tomoka, I will have to make sure that this girl won’t get that shot over me.”
When Aina steps back one move from Aoi, Aina tries to shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot, but it misses.
“Go, get that ball!” said Tomoka.
“Okay!” said Aoi as she successfully grabs the ball with her right hand. Aoi passes the ball to Nami.
“You should be good right now, Aoi-san! I will have to try my best to groove it!” said Nami.
“Sure, you will!” said Aoi.
Nami would dribble the ball while running through the other side of the court. Nami and Asako face each other again after a minute ago. Nami would go for the crossover move on Asako while Asako is taking her strength not to get drive past by Nami.
“You think that you’re gonna stop me?” asked Asako.
“You’re quite hot headed, Asako. A girl like you can’t learn to stop a person like me. Well, I’ll make this treat for myself” said Nami as she goes for the escape move on Asako. Nami would pass the ball to Megumi as Megumi is hoping to shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot in the perimeter. However, Megumi’s shot misses.
Nami is not happy after Megumi misses the shot. “Damn! I can’t believe that she missed that shot!”
“Focus on the ball, Megumi!” said Tomoka.
“Okay!” said Megumi as she grabs the ball for the offensive rebound before battling against Aina.
“I’ll find a spot for me to shoot!” said Megumi as she goes for the post up move on Aina.
“I’m not gonna let you drive past me!” said Aina.
“Oh, yes, I will do that anyway” said Megumi as she goes for the pump fake before trying to shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot.
“Then, I’ll fight it back!” said Aina as she uses the shot contest to make sure that Megumi’s shot will miss. Megumi’s shot would be missed and Mariko, a third year middle school student from the Kirihara Middle School, gets the ball for the rebound.
“No good. She missed another shot” said Kazue Futagawa.
“That Aina is seemed to be focusing on interior defense to guard the paint and trying to not let her opponents drive their way” said Hitomi.
“I don’t think that this is going to be it for us, but I hope that they’ll fight back for more” said Hanako Kotobuki.
“Yeah. There has to be something for our girls to retrieve the ball back for another possession, but I guess that it may be a tricky strategy for Michiko and her team” said Kazue Futagawa.
“Ah, of course! That’s how Aina uses her strength to make sure that her opponents will miss the shots away from her” said Hitomi.
“Good observation, Hitomi! I knew that Tomoka and her teammates have to watch out for those in the frontcourt” said Kazue Futagawa.
“But also, this might be difficult for Tomoka and her teammates to score in the paint, not only they have two big girls with flexibility” said Hanako Kotobuki.
“Yep” said Hitomi and Kazue Futagawa.
Mariko would pass the ball to Michiko before Mimi charges in to guard Michiko.
“You should be looking for your size to match my strength, Mimi” said Michiko.
“Well, it might be better to lose your strength out if I observe you” said Mimi.
“Oh, good! Then, I will drive you out first!” said Michiko as she powers up to drive past Mimi. Michiko’s acceleration drive is better than her teammates because Michiko is much hasty to move with the ball.
“Whoa! She’s driving past Mimi…” said Hitomi.
“…with her acceleration drive!” said Hanako Kotobuki.
As Michiko enters to the paint, preparing to shoot for the floater, Megumi comes out to go for the shot contest. “I’ll not let you shoot, Michiko!”
Michiko clings her feet before shooting the ball with the floater while Megumi goes for the shot contest on that shot. The ball would bounce off from the rim and then, the ball is now about to land on either the hands of Michiko’s team or Tomoka’s team.
“The ball!” said Michiko.
“Go, get them!” said Megumi.
Rie grabs the ball over Tomoka before going to shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot in an easy way, but the shot would be missed as she shot too early as expected.
“Ah! It won’t make it!” said Rie.
“I’ll retrieve it back!” said Aina as she grabs the ball for the rebound. Aina posts up against Aoi before trying to shoot the ball with the hook shot.
“This should be the trick!” said Aoi as she goes for the shot contest, trying to reach the ball to block it, however, she fails to do. Fortunately for Aoi, Aina’s shot would be missed as well. “Wow! That was so close!”
“I’ll get it for you, Aoi-chan!” said Megumi as she was able to get the ball for the rebound. “We won’t get a slump for our team. We should have one to score.”
“Yeah, I know, Megumi. Their defense are so good, they’re trying to let us miss” said Aoi.
“Then, we have to come up a different plan to score” said Megumi.
“Exactly right, Megumi. We should do this” said Aoi.
“Sure!” said Megumi.
Megumi would pass the ball to Mimi before running through the paint and returning to her position against Mariko.
“Eh, you’re not serious?” asked Mariko.
“Well, what if I will answer that if you’ll see what’s going on?” asked Megumi.
“Never mind. I’ll have to wait for them to see what’s next” said Mariko.
“Then, I’ll have to make sure that your defense is not enough to stop us” said Megumi.
“You’re kidding” said Mariko.
“Yes, I am” said Megumi.
Mimi would go for the between the legs move on Michiko while using her acceleration to prepare for her next move.
“What’s that supposed to mean, Mimi? Are you going to imitate mine?” asked Michiko.
“Oh, I’m not gonna do that, Michiko. I might have another thing to take your defense out of you” said Mimi.
“Ah, right then. I’ll see if you’re prove enough to drive me out” said Michiko.
“No mind if I do” said Mimi as she goes for the acceleration drive to drive past Michiko.
“Now, Mimi!” said Megumi.
“Okay!” said Mimi as she passes the ball to Megumi with the bounce pass.
“It’s happening now” said Megumi as she is doing the between the legs move on Mariko. Then, Megumi would drive past Mariko with the drive before trying to shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot in the post, but the ball bounces off from the hoop and it doesn’t score anyway. “What?! I missed it again?!”
“Take the ball back!” said Aoi.
“Oh, okay!” said Megumi as she grabs the ball away from the hands of Aina.
“Hey!” said Aina.
“Hopefully, this time, I will shoot!” said Megumi as she tries to shoot the ball with the jump shot, but Mariko had contacted with Megumi while Megumi releasing it, leading to Mitsuki Izawa blowing the whistle to call for the foul on Mariko.
“Defensive foul, shooting. Dark uniform, Number 10” said Mitsuki Izawa. The ball didn’t drive in to the basket though. The time stops at 6:49 left in the first quarter.
“That’s great, Megumi! You get the foul shot!” said Mimi.
“Oh, I did. Well, this might be going to have the perfect time to shoot my first point in the game” said Megumi.
“Yeah, Megumi-san! I know that you’re a good clutch shooter and a free throw specialist. Now, you have to knock down two shots in a row” said Tomoka.
“Okay, I got it!” said Megumi.
Mitsuki Izawa gives the ball to Megumi, instructing her shoot two shots. “Okay, two shots.”
Megumi would be relying on her free throw shooting as she is about to shoot the ball with the first free throw. Megumi would successfully bank the first free throw, giving her first point in the game. [Rainbow Angels 5, Kirihara-Team Takeda 4]
“Finally, Megumi, you got your first point” said Nami.
“Yeah, I’m not gonna waste my time to end my slump, but I’m feeling so good right now. I’ll just have to shoot one more to knock both free throws” said Megumi.
“Then, go for it!” said Tomoka.
“You got it, Tomoka-chan!” said Megumi as she’s going for the second free throw. Megumi would make the second free throw and the ball drives to the basket. [Rainbow Angels 6, Kirihara-Team Takeda 4]
“Nice shot, Megumi-san!” said Tomoka.
“Thanks! Now, I’m going to watch out for their defense right now!” said Megumi.
“Okay, then!” said Tomoka.
Asako would pass the ball to Rie, who would battle against Tomoka in the free throw line.
“You’re not gonna freak me out, aren’t you?” asked Tomoka.
“Of course, not! I should be expected to play well, even you’re not guarding Michiko yet. So, I will have my time to stop you for sure!” said Rie.
“We’ll see” said Tomoka. Rie would go for the crossover move on Tomoka before trying to drive past with the hesitation drive. Rie would successfully drive past Tomoka with the hesitation drive.
“Wow! She’s too fast to drive Tomoka out of her way!” said Anzu.
“That girl is not intimidating Tomoka at the same time Tomoka kept her wisdom to defend herself” said Kōme.
“Yeah, Kōme-san. I’m not sure why Tomoka is not defending Michiko yet” said Anzu.
“Ah, me too, Anzu-san. I think that Mimi and Tomoka are the only two persons can able to stop Michiko together, but we’re not seeing that yet” said Kōme.
“Oh, now I understand what’s going on between Tomoka and Michiko. I believe that Tomoka is not waiting to battle against Michiko yet, but Tomoka said that she’ll have time to battle her when she’s ready to groove herself. Right now, that’s not the right time to have that for the moment” said Anzu.
“Oh, okay. I see the point about the two, Anzu. Hopefully, Tomoka will be able to get a chance to battle Michiko in the court later” said Kōme.
“Yeah, I agree, Kōme-san” said Anzu.
Rie would see Michiko being open from the corner and then, passes the ball to Michiko quickly.
“Nice pass, Rie-san!” said Michiko.
“You’re welcome!” said Rie.
Michiko would clash with Mimi with her moves going dazzle as always. Michiko would take her strength to drive past Mimi with the acceleration drive before successfully shooting the ball with the clutch driving layup. [Rainbow Angels 6, Kirihara-Team Takeda 6]
“Looks like Michiko tied the game after Megumi’s two free throws being made” said Nozomi.
“Well, this should be fine right now, Zomi-chan, but I have a feeling that Tomoka and Mimi have to work together to score more points in the game” said Jun.
“Yeah, Jun-san. There are six and a half minutes left in the first quarter and hopefully, they’ll be able to bank as many shots as they can, so that they’ll get their lead by double-digits by the end of the quarter” said Kotori.
“You bet, Kotori!” said Jun.
“Tomoka and her team have their determination to inspire and I hope that they’ll make it very well” said Nozomi.
“Yeah” said Kotori.
The montage shows the players from the Rainbow Angels and the Kirihara-Team Takeda battling against each other with their strength being prepared for the rest of the first quarter. Tomoka, Mimi and Nami were able to score points as they banked the shots outside the paint while Megumi and Aoi were good in rebounding and defending. On the other hand, Michiko and her teammates were able to keep their plan nicely with Michiko shooting in the post while Rie makes her good playmaking plays as she passes the ball to either Asako or Michiko, so that either of them they’ll shoot the ball to score.
With one minute left in the first quarter, the Kirihara-Team Takeda is leading by 3 with the score of 14 to 11. Tomoka would battle against Rie as Tomoka shows her dazzling beauty by doing the crossover move on Rie.
Tomoka would think of Michiko and her teammates while she’s about to drive past Rie. “Those girls are so good, but I can take one of them out if they’re pressuring on me.” Tomoka would go for the hesitation drive to drive past Rie quickly.
“Wow! That drive was so powerful!” said Nanako Funtani.
“Tomoka don’t want to lose her cool because she’s going to take the shots to score” said Minako Kawaguchi.
“I hope that she’ll be able to groove more” said Fujiko.
“Yeah!” said Nanako and Minako.
Mimi would step in outside the three-point line before Tomoka sees her. “Tomoka! Pass it to me! I’ll shoot the three!”
Tomoka nods her face to accept Mimi’s favor. “No mind if I do! Catch, Mimi-san!” Tomoka would pass the ball to Mimi with the accelerating pass.
Mimi catches the ball with two hands before shooting the ball with the three-point shot. Mimi’s energy is going better now when she’s shooting the ball with the outside shots and she doesn’t want to let it miss. Mimi’s shot would be successfully, thus, tying the game. [Kirihara-Team Takeda 14, Rainbow Angels 14]
“Alright! We tied the game again!” said Jun.
“Now, this is going to be interesting this time with both teams trade their baskets respectively” said Kotori.
“Yeah, Kotori! No one knows if our team had been doing great right now, but they have the charm to keep on” said Nozomi.
“I totally agree!” said Jun while Kotori smiles and nods her face.
“Nice shot, Mimi! That three was so magnificent!” said Aoi.
“You’re an awesome girl, Mimi-san!” said Tomoka.
“Thanks, girls! It feels like I’m getting better in shooting threes rather than just shooting in the paint. Now, all we have to do right now is to keep on shooting to make it score” said Mimi.
“Yeah!” said Tomoka and Aoi.
Michiko would drive past Mimi using the crossover move before shooting the ball with the finger roll and the ball drives to the basket. Then, Aoi goes for the step up move on Aina before quickly lets Aina to box out. Aoi passes the ball to Megumi, who successfully shoots the ball with the jump shot in the corner. Asako would try to shoot the ball with the three-point shot, but it misses and then, Nami successfully shoots the ball with the spin layup and then, Mariko makes the last shot of the quarter with the clutch layup before Mitsuki Izawa blows her whistle to signal the end of the first quarter.
Mitsuki Izawa announces the result of the first quarter of the match. “End of first quarter. Rainbow Angels 18, Kirihara-Team Takeda 18.”
At the bench of the Rainbow Angels, Jun and Kotori are meeting with the players of their team as they’re talking about their agenda for the next quarter.
“Well, I’m glad that you girls were able to score very well. Even we’re currently tied up at 18, we’re very confident that we might have a chance to retake the lead at the start of the second quarter” said Jun.
“Isn’t that great, girls?” asked Kotori.
“Yeah, Jun-san and Kotori-san! It’s awesome that we’re doing a great job in shooting the ball in both inside and outside” said Tomoka.
“Also, we’re able to get many rebounds, thanks to Aoi and Megumi” said Mimi.
“It looks like we’re not getting hassled right now and while Michiko is strong enough to shoot the ball inside and outside, Tomoka had been good in keeping her opponents off guard to let their shots miss” said Aoi.
“Wow! That’s great news, girls! I like that!” said Kotori.
“So, it sounds like we’re about to enter the second quarter and I have to say that we have to keep on scoring more points in both inside and outside of the paint. That way, we’ll be able to get many points as many as we can, but their defense would be our problem” said Jun.
“I realize that both Mariko and Aina are good defenders when they’re using their strength. I guess that Aoi needs more help alongside Megumi, so that they’ll work hard to getting rid of their opponents’ defense out” said Kotori.
“Well, then. I think that I have an idea in stopping both Mariko and Aina” said Aoi.
“Oh, that’s good, Aoi-san. But what are you and Megumi gonna do?” said Tomoka.
“Aoi and I will have to keep an eye on both Mariko and Aina when they’re either on offense or defense. Just to make sure that we must match their strength with ours” said Megumi.
“It’s impossible for us to stop them unless we have to boost our strength to shut them down pretty quickly” said Aoi.
“Ah, I see. Then, if you and Megumi will have to battle against both Mariko and Aina, will you use your defensive tactics to stop them like forming the Sakura Formation?” said Kotori.
“Yes, Kotori-chan!” said Megumi.
“That way, we’ll be able to show those two girls who the best defenders in the inside area are” said Aoi.
“You got that right, Aoi-chan! I believe that we should focus on interchanging the strategy where Aoi and Megumi must focus on doing their defense while Tomoka, Nami and Mimi will be relying on shooting the ball. Also, if Michiko is about reach on either Tomoka or Mimi, then either one of them will use the Camellian Beauty ability to stop her. Okay?” said Jun.
“Yeah! We understand, Jun!” said Nami, Tomoka, Mimi, Megumi and Aoi.
“In case you notice, we must prepare for another battle in the court in a few minutes, girls. Since you will have the right to get the first possession in the second quarter, then you must use the strategies you’ll be planning right now. It’s important for us to keep your willpower into your hearts. Got it?” said Kotori.
“Okay! We got it, Kotori!” said Nami, Tomoka, Mimi, Megumi and Aoi.
“Then, let’s make sure that we’ll be able to have our lead back and then, keeping our formation as a team!” said Jun.
“Yeah!” said Nami, Tomoka, Mimi, Megumi and Aoi.
Jun, Kotori and the girls of the Rainbow Angels are going to use their team chant. Kotori would go first to speak. “On the count of three... one…”
Jun goes next to respond. “Two…”
Jun and Kotori would shout together in unison for the count of three. “…three!”
The girls of the Rainbow Angels would shout together alongside Jun and Kotori to give their fighting spirit going up. “Let’s go, Rainbow Angels!”
Part 2 will be on the next post.
VOLUME 8: “A NEW ANGELIC AND HARMONIOUS ERA IN ŌTA”
CHAPTER 142: “ALL ABOUT MIRACLES AND INSPIRATIONS (PART 1)”
