emm...burn theme?...how violentO_o..lol jk^^

i dunno nana, haven't touched ps for a while now...

Well i am trying but not all the render / images can work with the same settings in the curve line saturation illumination and other may won't work. Each time i use curve on a render i must match the curve effect to the resemblance coloring tone of the background. Well it's tricky after many fails now i have the courage to say that now i can match the render pretty well with the background. PS and Corel Draw (to create elements it's better the Corel Draw) in use of both of them it leaves me satisfied. Previously i only worked Photoshop. I started with Photoshop 5.5 till now and i can't stop using it.

To be honest Corel Draw and a stylus & the library of the elements even in stock are more satisfied than PS. Also i am willing to learn and use the Manga Studio Pro (but i will leave that here for another time)

Also i am debating my self if i can made one more sig with Kuuko (From Nyaruko) she is a Flame User... Or Kagari (Sekirei)... hm you sure have put me on fire Ignis;-sama! It's been a while to have some exchange opinion in art matters :)
True, it's very important to pick colour schemes that match or complement each other harmoniously. Of course, you could also be different and splash contrasting colours, but that's obviously harder to blend well.

How about using layer blending (right-click → layer properties → blending options)? For example, with Photoshop, you can apply "lighten" to the layer containing your render or main focal image, which will then make its colours blend with the layer below it in a semi-transparent way. Generally, the darker it is, the more transparent it will be when "lighten" is applied. Of course, the layer below also matters: the darker it is, the less apparent the blending effect will look.

This is a risky method, of course, as it often leads to the render being overly blended into the layer below it. Personally, I usually duplicate parts such as face, neck, arms, and hands into another layer to make sure the skin doesn't get overlaid by the transparent effects resulting from "lighten".

There are also other methods involving layer blending instead of filtering to make colour schemes complement each other well, such as by adding an entire new layer with the "colour dodge" option and putting some brushes (usually light and distanced, like 50% fill and 50% opacity) to lighten/darken certain areas. With "colour dodge", it's common to first paint the entire layer black as the base of the brush (the blackened part will become totally invisible once "colour dodge" is applied).

Just suggesting options, obviously. If anyone here is interested in knowing more, let me know, and maybe I can give some pictures to help elaborate. And yes, it's quite fun to exchange opinions on this kind of topic :)

* nanashi1 asks a "random" question at Ignis;...

After the fire-season, coming then the liquid opponent of fire the wather (and then the earth and air - well, the other 2 elements...:XD:) than upcoming theme...? I just wonder...:goodtea:
Hmm, I actually would rather make themes that aren't too predictable. If we have fire this month and water next month, anyone would guess that we're going to have wind and earth for the next two months. The themes themselves aren't bad per se, but the sequence is too predictable. Instead, we could simply have a theme of "elements" sometime―doesn't necessarily have to be next month―that covers all four basic elements and then some (lightning, light, dark, aether, whatever).

Besides, a theme of "water" will probably make entrants think of ecchi stuff like bathing scenes (even if they don't end up making such entries). And maybe the same ecchi people will, upon encountering a theme of "wind", depict scenes of skirts getting blown up by the wind. ┐(´・ω・`)┌

Lol, fire gives us heat (Well, this should at you familiar be...xD) and good dishes... Where then, don't think so about our "friend" the fire...:goodtea:

Edit: Then is it the time again for that Nawi!

Hmm, I see... Well, we'll then sometime such theme have... Good to know that...:goodtea:

BTW, how wise are Ignis, about the usage of the 4 main elements...:korokke_nice:

To be honest, i have never thought of bathing scenes might be strong connection with water element, i have something way much different in my mind...

I planned to depict something different. "burning desire/burning hatred" without the use of fir or anything but that didn't go as planned =/

1st: G'evening Unown-kun!

2nd: Then you wanted a pro and contra the burning desire and the burning hatred terms/meanings in your project/siggy put...?

nanashi1; Tried it using Neferpitou and Gon from Hunter x Hunter but I couldn't really express my idea in the signature so I went with Shana instead x3

Hello, there seems to be something wrong with the file you uploaded. The game works fine, but it doesn't play music. I use dameon tools lite and prompt "unable to mount image. Cue sheet: line 1-file not accessible." Could you please re-upload it?
