Tried it using Neferpitou and Gon from Hunter x Hunter but I couldn't really express my idea in the signature so I went with Shana instead x3
Was they from a artwork rendered or from a screenshot out of the series, because the both sources have some influence at making of siggys...?

BTW, Shana has because of her attitude a better application possibilities in this event.

I had plenty of images to use for the sig but I just couldn't make it the way I wanted, hard to explain.
And yes, Shana has a fiery personality as well as being the embodiment of fire herself ^^

Ah, I see... Yeah, I can understand your pain... - I'm so with the upcoming siggy so... A pain, maybe I remove it that, and then replace it...>_>

Shana will probably with her tsun-power as well the 3rd award winning for you...^_^

That's a nice one. Personally, I like the new signature more: in contrast with your existing entry, it incorporates more elements of differing natures, making it less monochromatic and overall more vibrant. On the flip side, your existing entry blends the text in better (if a bit too blended). The new signature has a stronger main focal point (the character) that stands out more than what's in your existing entry, but this is somewhat negated by the multitude of text surrounding it.

There's nothing inherently wrong with that. Shana is near and dear in the minds of many; I knew many would think of her with respect to fire. And as unown said, there's still a whole month before the deadline. The point to allowing entrants to edit their entries as many times as they please before the deadline is so they may learn from each other (in the sense of "wow, this guy's entry has this stuff that makes it good, maybe I can apply it to mine"), anyway, so feel free to make use of the chance.

You mean the fonts? Hm i was debating my self for those it's better use another font or change their size? What do you think?

Ignis, I think that this project a full success is. - Well, the simple topics are always the best, where then because of it a lot coming to this SOTM of you... (I've still in mind who still coming will) Well done Ignis...:goodtea:

No, not really the font. I'll be frank that it's not the best font I've seen, but the font itself is okay. (Of course, if you feel like changing it, sites like DaFont and many others provide a nice selection of free fonts.) It's more about the text placement and overall blending.

See, in your current entry, you put two lines of text overlaying two semi-transparent shapes that fade out into the image beneath (i.e. the character and flame effects) on certain spots. Doing it this way makes sure the text does not stand out too much compared to the rest of the image. On the flip side, this makes the text look a bit 'engulfed' and as a result appear less clear, but this is something quite easily remedied by, for example, using tools such as dodge and burn or adding alternate effects such as a slight gleam on the layer having the effects on the spots the text overlays.

In your new signature, the text stands out strong and proud: solid white, 100% (or close to 100%) fill and opacity, with a slight black outer stroke, surrounded by white frames that equally don't blend into the rest of the image. This isn't by itself bad; however, you have three bodies of text, each vying for the viewer's attention as none of them are purposely more blended or standing out more than the others. Add the character render (face, especially) to the mix and you have four focal points.

In short: if with your current entry it's easy to focus your gaze to the character's face, your new signature makes for divided attention from the careful observer, as there are many different objects with their own character that makes them all stand out. That's what I mean by focal points. Thus, personally, I'd opt for text that isn't too spread out nor strays too far from the main focal point―most commonly the face of the character depicted―so that they won't compete with each other.

Thanks, but it's not really me―I could make a thread to advertise the SOTM in every part of the forum and decorate each thread beautifully, but if no one would join, it'd still be for nothing. So it's thanks to you, entrants. But yes, I agree that we should start with simple themes. (This isn't because I'm not capable of thinking up of more creative themes, I assure you. Oh, no, sir.)

1st: Hi Ignis!

2nd: But these decorations making the SOTM (even other threads of you...) so unique... BTW, there maybe a suggestion of me: At main page of ASF can maybe at SOTM a colorful banner additional with a cute figure on that give, because to be honest, the SOTM-blox disappears between General Site Topics- and Social-box. - Newbies can may easily overlook that...

3rd: "sir."? Please don't call me so, call me rather Shi - it's simple and short...:goodtea:

Hello, there seems to be something wrong with the file you uploaded. The game works fine, but it doesn't play music. I use dameon tools lite and prompt "unable to mount image. Cue sheet: line 1-file not accessible." Could you please re-upload it?
