I don't game all that much. It is pretty darn early if you are having problems in less than a year. Standard for a laptop should be around 3 years I think.

I'm considering picking up a cheap notebook so I can code at school next year, but I'll see if I really want one that bad first.

i prefer my games on console as well but there are a select few that are undeniably better on the PC such as skyrim and other elder scrolls games

plus there are some that are PC exclusive

Well like pyre, I don't game that much
heck I don't even play a lot of console games nowadays

nah my vaio isn't having problems, it's my netbook that has it

PC just has so much more power too. :)

Nazaka; I don't know what a vaio is ^^;;;

Oh is that a laptop brand/style Nazaka; I haven't shopped anything other than PC parts in years, so I don't know what is around. ^^;;

Yeah I just got tired of them
doesn't seem to be as entertaining as in the past

Yes it is a laptop brand

It's rather good
way better than toshiba >_>
I'm not much of a reviewer so I don't know how to explain it in detail w

I went with Dell. Seemed to be good, but life expectancy slightly worse than I would like.

I've been using this laptop (vaio) for 6 months only, so not sure about the life expectancy

I care a bit about the brand (if I have a bad experience with it or not)
my netbook can't even extract rars properly

Winrar yes

but EVERY single rar I try to extract will show up as "corrupted file"
and when I copy the exact same rar file to my brother's laptop and extract it, it works just fine
