If by scamp you are talking about the flight crew things, they are equipped on BBV/CAV/CV/CVL. The main purpose for them is the long range that comes with them, letting you change the attack order of carriers. While you could equip guns up to this point for medium range, long would put carrier priority up to BB levels, which is huge particularly when it comes to farming and grinding. 10atk also isn't bad at all, and provides a nice way of boosting CAV damage potential. They are pretty useless on BBVs though because all these good points are basically irrelevant to BB use.

No particular hints about 1-6 yet so we'll see tomorrow. No telling what they'll throw at us, but it'll be safe to say that the kind of content we find in 1-6 will probably be indicative of the theme of the event maps.

About hoarding...didn't you clear E5 on hard relatively easily last time? It was honestly a pretty luck based affair, so presumably we'll see this event be equally terror potentially. I had a friend blowing through 150kish worth of resources and still failed for hard clear, so yeah~

Hm, I think to me E2 and E5 gave me a lot of trouble, E2 because of random wanpun before boss node which was frustrating, E5 was just stupid 2x Hime alongside boss, it was such a RNG based map, but pre-final rotation wasn't hard at all once I saw someone using the Katori flag command fleet method with Damecon, I was able to reach boss nearly 100% before final rotation. E4 was frustrating if I recall but only because of random wanpun again. I think I cleared E1 and E3 within like an hour or two. Overall I don't think I spent a lot of bullet and fuel, possibly around 45k each to clear whole event in hard mode? and nearly 30K was spent just on E5 alone because of that final rotation, as much as I love combined fleet mechanics, it eats up so much fuel especially when I have to send out boss support expedition for E5 final kill or else its like really really hard (though the person who I follow my set up from actually said he did the final kill without sending any support, though he have 2x Yamato class + Bisko where as I only have Musashi, I replaced Yamato with Nagato and Bisko with Kirishima). Though I'm not sure how much they want to up the difficulty this time round, hopefully not a lot...

Oh right, so that's what it is used for, I've always wondered what it is, it make sense now. As for 1-6, yea I suppose it might give a hint on what event will be based on, but all I care is whether it gives me a god damn medal and whether it is hard to clear... xD
 
People tell me it's gonna be a large scale event or something, so it could E-6 or so again. The previous one was a medium scale if I recall right.

Extra Operation 1-6 huh? Haven't really given a thought to that and returned to my daily life of hoarding repair buckets and resources. Still at 218 buckets and just around my max cap for resources and since I'm expecting a tough event, I still have a long way to go.

@ecael - Thanks for pointing out the specifics and damage calculations. I'm not much a fan for the complicated calculations and I simply just add more fighters when in doubt.

Edit: imo her knees look like they're gonna break any moment, and the equipment isn't that good, but whatever at least the artwork's fine.

Actually I don't know, from what I can read there are mix feeling about the 12.7cm Twin High Angle. Apparently this gun can trigger double attack during night time so apparently it functions as a main gun yet it seems classified as a secondary. I'm totally confused and want to see if someone with more experience can clarify this (I'm looking at you [MENTION=29996]ecael[/MENTION] and [MENTION=108744]Icchan[/MENTION]). Also apparently it is great for 3-5 light fleet due to the fact of the +1 Evasion stats, yes the -2 AA stats might pale compared to the 10cm but that +1 accuracy and +1 evasion might just make up for it! Plus Murakumo Kai Ni have a lot of new lines and they're friggin' Tsundere awesomeness, I like her art provided I don't see her knee. Her stats is a bit meh but to be honest I don't care since I've all the high stats DD at my command all pretty much at least 70+.
 
Oh you don't need to say if it's love ^^. I have girls i like and want to level up but Murakumo isn't in my top list. :D
 
It works with 10cm high angle cannons. It should work with 12.7cm as well?

Wait really? I thought green are considered as secondary? Since main gun can't trigger AA Cut in? Yet this one will be able to trigger AA cut in apparently?

If it can be equipped on a DD and is considered a gun then it'll be a main gun. If it can't be equipped on a DD then it is a sub gun. Easiest way to tell.

I'm guessing that green main gun are the one that can trigger AA cut in? Since you can also put red guns on DD as well, what would you normally put for DD who have low luck stats that don't rely on Night Cut in?

For DDs yeah, they are the only ways to trigger AA cutin. I usually just use the urakaze guns or akiduki guns for DDs and go for double hit for every situation. Poi guns if I am trying to raise firepower for something like support expeditions. Cutins only when I am desperate like with E5 last time.
Arent all high angle cannons considered main?
The ones that can't be equipped on DDs are all subs.

Well, I'm pretty happy then since Murakumo came with 2x 12.7cm HA Late Model (Urakaze Gun) :P I'm guessing you use radar for the 3rd slot?
