Yeah, it was the best route by far. It helps you understand everything. I wanted to see more of some characters though, like the man and the other shinigami

Welli already told you about little busters, but you're gonna wait. If you want a series, than i definitely say Da Capo 1 & 2. The third one might be partially translated, but the project was dropped. There's also G-Senjou no Maou which has a pretty intense story, and then there's Sharin no Kuni, and kanon. And I've only played 2 vn's with actual game play

Yeah, i don't like machine translations either. But i also don't like such bad grammar
