Pichu is adorable <3
That's true I guess but meh, I wanted to play using only the Gen 5 pokes :3
And Flygon IS pretty cool :o

I wish those cute Pokemon could have another purpose besides fighting for you. Like, walking behind you or something... just like how Pikachu walks behind you in Yellow or having a Pokemon walk alongside you in that park (what's the name?) in Gen IV. I could perhaps survive with a Cinccino (Adamant + 252 attack + 252 speed), but I want a Pachirisu. Too bad its base stats are poor. Not even well-allocated.

Speaking of Trapinch/Flygon, I can never bring myself to fully love it. Especially after Gen IV came out. It just feels like Garchomp's weaker cousin. Same types, weaker attack, weaker speed. Levitate isn't very useful for a Dragon/Ground-type, either.

:deadsad: SADLY its TRUE

Ignis : you can play Soul silver or heart gold.. Pikachu can accompany you in your back.. even lugia Can..:blushing: anw which park u talking about..?? yellow pokemon.?

and i agre with you.. levitate ability is not so good with dragon/ground type.. why they bother giving em levitate when they already had ground type.?? :sigh:

Hah, I think putting a blanket hatred on Gen V for sucking in terms of designs is too close-minded. I don't know about the person who made that poster, but even I though I found some Pokemon like Vanilluxe, Klinklang and Druddigon cheaply designed, I'd say Gen V had some nicely designed Pokemon too. Lilligant is cute. Braviary, Serperior and Gigalith are pretty badass.

Also, really? I gotta admit I haven't really played HG/SS, but I've seen my friend and sis play them and I don't recall seeing their Pokemon tailing behind them. Is that limited to certain places only or you can have your Pokemon walking behind you just like Digimon DS all the time?

Oh, the park I was talking about is Amity Square in Hearthome City (Gen IV). See, that's my Dawn walking with her Grotle there.

ah yea... Liligan.. is good pokemon+cute.. and her own tempo.. make u can use Petal Dance without scared confusing... :D
I like serperior.. but his status.. make me isnt my best choice... ahh... Zoroark.. I love it there.. Zoroark N is strong with 30 all ev.. :D

u must play that HG / SS.. its like Gold and SIlver Remake.. with added a lot new pokemon after beat the game..and the radio its work there... gues your Mom will calling you sometimes.. and the The most Lookings systems is that pokemon can accompany you wherever you go... except Legendary pokemon... legendery will not shown when u enter the bulding..

i dont know platinum can shown the pokemon like that... :(
oh.. is it just in that town your pokemon can come out.?? in ss your pokemon will tailingyou whenever you are.. and can shown affection.. but THEY DONT use it on BLACK..
Very dissapointing.. It is a good selling point though...

Amity Square, no practical use for me. Only that there's an Amulet Coin to be found in there xD

Flygon was pretty good in Gen 3. But then Gen 4 came along and it got overshadowed by the shark..Still I like using Flygon over Garchomp as he is in too high of a tier for me like xD. I prefer Borderline and beneath instead of OuverUsed.
I guess Lilligant is prettily designed ^^ Most of the Gen 5 pokes are ugly but that's what opinions are for. And BW was actually fun to play through. But I still prefer the previous games..

No practical use indeed. If you ask me, though, such gimmicks have been (and I reckon will always be) an important part of the games. There has to be a reason they only appear in certain games.

I think I got really disappointed in Flygon when I first found out that Trapinch's attack got considerably weaker after it evolved into Vibrava. This was in Gen III and Garchomp hadn't been introduced. Back then, I was a sucker for Pokemon with high attack, so needless to say I wasn't pleased.

I continued on and, after evolving Vibrava into Flygon, I concluded that it wasn't worth the effort. (Especially having gone through Gen II with a Dragonite and a Tyranitar.)

Ignis; It's fun to run around with weaker pokemon as well. It becomes more of a challenge later in the game if you run around with a Vibrava instead of a Flygon :3 Vibrava is so cute :fullblush:

For me the cutest one has to be Pichu <3
And since I'm mentioning it anyway..

But yea I want more beastly stuff like Tyranitar. Bit doubt they can top that.
I mean..just look at it! And the in-game Pokédex descriptions are epic xD

I don't really have like..a certain stat that I like high. If it gets high, I like. Doesn't matter if it's Speed, Defense or whatever :3

Why is the Pikachu evolution tree so overrated? They look like shit :/

I just like Pichu though D:
Gen I and Gen II have the most nostalgic memories for me. So it's probably the reason why i like pokes of those gens.

Whoops, forgot to respond to Second_Flight; but really, you can walk with your Pokemon in just about anywhere? Gotta try out HG/SS sometime, then. And as far as I know, in D/P/Pt, the only place you can walk with your Pokemon is Amity Park. It's just for enjoying a stroll too. And only certain Pokemon are allowed, like the starters and Pokemon the reception girl deems "cute."

Hinode; I agree, it has its own fun and challenge. I don't like Vibrava though, not even how it looks. :< I'll take most stuffed animal-like Pokemon over Vibrava any time in terms of cutesy. I used a Cinccino once; she was actually quite decent. She performed quite well in the Battle Subway after I invested in her attack and speed.

And I personally find Pichu and Pikachu cute (though Raichu not so much). In my opinion, the game doesn't do Pikachu's cutesy enough justice―you need to at least watch the movies (I don't watch the TV series myself). Can't think of a single cutest Pokemon, but I think I'd choose Pachirisu if I could have just one.

Cinccino is decent with Skill Link :o And it gets a few of those 5 turns moves. And it's Speed and Attack make it even better :3

I never really liked Raichu either =/ But I had one Emerald just to troll people with xD Attract/Thunder Wave/Teeter Dance.
You won't be able to attack xD
Pachirisu is cute but what I like most is it's voice/sounds/cries in the Anime series (not that I watch it, just the movies) it's so hilariously cute xD

yups... you can do that... and i much more like HG/SS rather than black 2... consider Gold and Silver is my favorite games when im a child.. and it got remake with refresh story... :D littlemore added story..

pokemon-heart-gold-and-soul-si.jpg

ah.. i remember searching pachirisu for 1 hours when playing platinum... :shockmenft:

Skill Link is perhaps the only thing giving those multi-hit moves real worth. Too bad Tail Slap's accuracy is only 85% when it's what gets STAB. I guess you can equip Wide Lens to boost its accuracy to 93% and sweep out the opposition with what basically becomes an attack with 187.5 power (25 x 5 x 1.5 for STAB). Adamant or Jolly sounds good, though it won't likely be able to withstand many hits either.

And oh my, one of those sets designed to make foes unable to act at all or as much as possible... I suppose Toxic could be a good fourth move for a paralysis/flinching/confusion set. Oh, also combine it with another Pokemon that uses Stockpile, Cosmic Power or the like―make this defensive type the first, raise stats like mad, then use Baton Pass. And begin the Thunder Wave/Fake Out/Teeter Dance/Protect/Attract/Toxic fiasco (Roar/Whirlwind/Dragon Tail be your doom). And I thought you didn't like stallers!

I see, Second_Flight. That's definitely appealing; gotta play it sometime. Crystal (after the original Gold and Silver) was one of the most memorable games during my childhood too. Gen II brought many cool new types and cool new evolutions; Pokemon like Scizor and Tyranitar made me very excited.

Yea, it does pretty well in the lower tier. Not so much in the higher ones as it's too frail and there's Shell Smash Cloyster for that :3

Well toxic would be a good option over Thunder Wave. But I need at least one attack like thunder bolt in Raichu's case.
Baton pass team..those bring back some memories xD I don't use baton apss to buff up my stallers though. Only reason why I would use a baton pass team is for Stored Power Espeon with magic Guard. Seriously, once you have it set up with a few boosts, it's practically game.

Ignis ;
There's a funnier/more evil team way to stall to your victory >:3
Get 4 pokes that can learn roar/whirlwind and a few that get Entry Hazard in combination with roar something like Nidoqueen BUT only with those moves. And A Persian/Purugly with Choice Scarf and the only move assist. Set up toxic spikes x2/stealth rock/spikes x3 and get out persia/n/purugly and Assist away. Assist ignores the negative priority of Whirlwind/Roar so it'll go first.
Troll away XD
(But it's hard to get it right. Priority moves and taunt shut you down completely but it's hilarious if it works! Ragequits everywhere!)

I don't like stallers, no. But I like that they make others frustrated xD Stuff like the good 'ol Pressure Aerodactyl from Gen 3!

Oh didn't see this thread here.
You play any Pokemon Simulator unown? ......And i just noticed your name is from pokemon. <_< Always read it as "unkown" so it always threw me off. <_<

Skill Link is perhaps the only thing giving those multi-hit moves real worth.

Oh god, Shellder and Cloyster got that? :3 Now I got a reason to get him! Clamp and Spike Cannon ftw :P

EDIT: Noooo! I forgot that Clamp was changed to a damage per turn move just like Wrap... :deadsad:

BlueMage ; Well..I sued to play Pokemon Online quite a lot. But I recently got introduced to Pokemon Showdown. I might give that one a try ^^
And you're not the first one that got confused with my name xD

Why spike cannon if it gets Rock Blast and Icicle Spear D: ?

^Yeah. Cloyster + Shell Smash + Icicle Spear/Rock Blast = GG

@unownHGSS : Eh so you're kinda like me. I used to play PO a lot as well but now i moved to Showdown. If you ever want to play just hit me up. :p

Hey, have you seen the new pokemon of Gen 6?
It's still not confirmed if it's a new mewtwo form or a whole new pokemon.
What do you think?
