Um I have a question to everyone... Anyone know any good Japanese Visual novels that are translated into English? Something similar to that ---> (games that are made using E-mote/M2 Co. LTD engine) or if there's not many games like that, then non-animated ones are great alternative too. Can someone recommend some visual novels for me to play/read? :3
dunno about game engine... but some masterpieces like muvluv, demonbane, yumina are already translated to english (unless you're one of those who think "eroge are just a mere fap material" type people).
you might want to see what mangagamer's list have to offers.
i try to playing Sakura Machizaka Stories Vol. 2 / 桜待坂Stories Vol.2

1. Koi x Shin Ai Kanojo: I kinda expected on what point the route would focus beforehand and was actually right *lol*. But yeah, the route felt pretty terrible. Like a huge slap in the MCs face as basically nothing he wished to achieve bore any fruits >_<. Fortunately the VN was not on my must-have list.
You could see during the first few scenes that Tateha is the Yuzuki of PxH2, so hopefully they decided to fix the terrible plot progression of the Yuzuki's route.
That was seriously annoying. Or more like that was most annoying route I have ever played.
If anyone actually wondering why did this become a shitstorm, here a short summary of route from EGS:
In short Main Heroine Sena DUMPED MC 3 TIMES. Seriously she leaves him, do whatever she wants, return after 3-5 years, have sex and fucks MC's life, then dumps again. Why? Because she want to make music, and acts like an innocent shit.
The most hilarious thing about this shitstorm is, they actually posted this game at http://ntrblog.com/archives/1044057254.html with a "New Genre: Music NTR".
Actually There is one more scene if you dont skip the credits with this cgIronically even her outcome hasn't become that positive if you consider the narrative before the MC's final monologue. As for the spoiler:For 6.: I skimmed at that point only the text quite annoyed, but I didn't really notice that Sena returned. From what I understood, his last scoop to shed light into the "dark" past of her band failed, thus his chance to get information about her whereabout. She had a few more song writing opportunities but ultimately it stopped as well along with further news surrounding Sena, while the MC was thinking that they are in some way (still) similar - The End. So yeah, if at all I'd put it also as his imagination >_<
Those scenarios are exactly why I try to stay mostly with light-hearted VNs. I can arrange myself with "true ends" where "smaller" sacrifices were necessary to achieve a greater goal (i.e. in the more serious battle and save-the-world settings).
Pretty much stepping at landmine at Koi x Shin Ai Kanojo : too little common sense at how highschoolers behave *especially Kisaragi Natsuko*, literally scattered story, too many times i had to go to backlog or previous choice just to check why they have those conversation
good thing i've got Eiyuutan to heal my mind
